A lot probably know this - but just in case, DD is no longer part of Eclipse.

have to believe that’s a huge blow to Eclipse’s boys program.

Be curious as to when that happened, where he’s going and really curious as to why and if that fits into the larger (negative) narrative surrounding eclipse these days.
For those with boys at Sockers get ready for even more high quality players coming over next year. Question won’t be will they leave, simply how many.

This is a pretty big bomb to drop. DD is in Macedonia and Turkey now doing some ID work?

Maybe he just got tired of Trump ;)

No way he'd fit in at Sockers IMO (that is if he left). He's to rogue for that club and I would say the same for FCU. Jump back in at Inferno - maybe if EA has made them more financially stable.

My understanding is the new USWNT coach is a relation to DD and from his hometown. I’m not saying this is what will happen but it’s an interesting possibly given the timing of all this that he could be involved somehow. Again - just a theory

Yes in some "offline" conversations I am having, it seems that the move will be (A) Out of State (B) Nationally or (C) Abroad.

    If so, good for him.

One would think that with all the boys he brought, that Eclipse would have some sort of non-compete in place. So a move to a competitors club would be unlikely.

He saw how bad his teams were at 16-19 lol! Those scores from Florida weren't good...

There's more than meets the eye. He's having family trouble too although he's pretty much the cause of it all. Left wife of his kids to date a 20yr old, left job to travel the world with new gf. Mid-life crisis?

I said in previous post that many will leave which I’d bet happens +\-

perhaps more damaging to eclipse boys is he’s no longer a draw. If you were thinking of going to eclipse he was a huge part of the reason imo.

a hallmark of eclipse no? Or a pre-requisite to run a program over there?

This could help the girls (I doubt it but who knows). They lost a ton of indoor space with the boys so if many boys leave they will get that back.

Of course if you don't have the right coaches...

Ummmm..he took 22 2002 kids abroad to train/ID so the scores in Florida aren’t accurate to teams

also his wife left him a few years ago.

Who needs a PI when you have access to “Changing Landscapes”?

Many will leave and most likely head to Sockers/Galaxy. However the West program is still a big draw. Very very good teams and Huitron brothers are doing good things from my understanding as well. It’s just a location thing.

Like so many international coaches do. Local Brazilian coach plans Brazil trip. All the English guys organize trips to England. Free trip back home. "But this one's different!", they all say. No it's not. It's been happening for years and people still fall for it.

Either way this trip left a small group of U19s in Florida to get thrashed because they didn't even have 11 players. Great that he considered those families in his planning. But that's DD. Take part of a team for a free trip or do what's right for the club that I'm "boys director" of? Great character.

    Good riddance.
