Sunday, December 15, 2019 Kansas City @ St. Louis - 3,648 Ontario @ Tacoma - 2,244 Sonora @ San Diego - 2,222
I hate to say I was right about Landon having no residual effect in San Diego. And seemingly no on cares about Jermaine Jones or any of the current/former MLS players. But on the webcast it looked like Tacoma had a nice crowd. I'm disappointed it was weak. Maybe I can pretend Tacoma had 3,648 and St. Louis had 2,244 and I can sleep better.
They had a snow storm and announced purchased tickets can be used at any upcoming game in the future. It was the St. Louis area youth soccer awards night and they had pre sold 3,500 plus tickets. They canceled the award ceremonies also. When we looked on Friday Ticketmaster showed it as nearly sold out. I guess since they sold the tickets those tickets will be like a free entry to a future game and will not count towards that games attendance. To bad they had a great win in front of only 300 people. I’m so sad for our team. Nothing ever works out right for the Ambush no matter what they do.
If those 3,500 seats were in the same place as the previous seats, that would be one thing. Towson surely has some effect. But so do lots of other things. (And Landon's stunt-casting was never going to have a knock-on effect, though I am told they believed it would.)
Actually a healthy number for the Heat. In years past there has been a dramatic drop in Harrisburg attendance from the home opener to the second game. This year the Heat only lost 20%. Not bad actually. So glad the Heat lowered the scoreboard and adjusted the screen graphics to promote the score and game time. And just as a data point I asked to sit behind the goal again this week and the ticket rep pointed out to me the inflatables blocked the view of one of the goals. Great when a organization listens to feedback and also responds. Just cannot believe the Baltimore number. So disappointing. MASL and the Blast have to be very concerned.
The snow/ice storm in Saint Louis and surrounding areas had been predicted days ahead of time. I live in Saint Louis; snow started falling in the morning on Sunday and turned to freezing rain in the evening. Road conditions on Sunday and Monday were very hazardous, despite a great job by the plow and salt trucks before and during the winter weather. There were many hundreds of accidents and stranded motorists on Sunday and Monday (several more inches of snow fell on Monday afternoon, or even up to six more inches in some areas). A team employee confirmed on Facebook that the Ambush did actually sell about 3,700 tickets in advance. The Ambush use the lower bowl of the Family Arena, which has a capacity of 5,000 for soccer. Truly, a lot of local fans here stayed home due to the dangerous weather. I also stayed home. It's fair to ask questions about an almost empty arena, but it was explainable in this case.

Sunday, December 22, 2019 Baltimore @ Orlando - 325 Kansas City @ Dallas - 2,049 Turlock @ Ontario - 1,922 Tacoma @ San Diego - 2,250
I don't understand how MASL stays in business. They will fold 6 teams and add 6 more next year. M2 will lose 8 teams and add 8 teams next year.
Another decent crowd in Rochester last night. Would be nice to see the Lancers sign two or three veteran players and become more competitive. Their was some good goals in the game including that back heel prime time goal by the Lancers! The Heat dominated play and should be an interesting game in Utica tonight for sure. Great game in STL vs Tacoma with an enthusiastic crowd. The Ambush are playing much better soccer since the start of the season. The additions of Braithwaite and Pablo were also a plus. Tacoma played a good game and we'll sse if they can take down KC tonight. Fire sale continues in Orlando. First, Huffman and Alvarez to the Wave. Now Schmermund has gone to the Blast.

Should be a good one New Years Eve KC at STL Baltimore @ Rochester - 2,732- Complete mismatch, nice scrimmage to prepare for today vs Utica Monterrey @ Dallas - 1,864- Close OT win for MONT. Much improved play for the SideKicks from the last Dallas game vs Outlaws, Dallas still needs more offensively to over take the Flash Sonora @ Ontario - no report[/QUOTE]- Big comeback win for the Soles, Sonora is gone to surprise some teams this season. Wonder how they will do tonight vs SD Update-Sonora @ Ontario-1,309
Who knows, but I honestly believe that if a team has attendance go below Turlock, they seriously should consider folding. But, this is the same team from Cedar Rapids in every sense of the word but name, so the incompetence is strong.
M2 attendance in Wichita Wings opener in 13-0 win over Colorado Rumble. About 4,000. Not bad. Saturay nite 12.28.19 https://wichitastory.com/orange-is-...vWGBm6C6sHOzncHCDaCuqgFXEUSaSO3ZlUMRKawHIFDSM
