Except for third and fifth place matches, straight to the shootout there. Also, CWC final's not on FS+?
And by the looks of it, only online/app as a Deportes program. So you have to authenticate with a Deportes level account to watch (legally) online https://www.foxsports.com/watch/117...sdata&af_channel=sportsdata&af_sub2=foxsports
And also probably only in Spanish. Given that this is a final of a World Cup involving a brand-name Premier League club, maybe they should've considered putting it on FOX.
Contracted basketball games everywhere, including broadcast FOX. They really didn't plan this out super well. Though there doesn't seem to be a ton of buzz for this kind of Mickey Mouse event, at least in the US. I know it's big in Brazil. Still kind of funny that a couple massive clubs will be involved and FS1 will be showing a Georgetown-Samford basketball game with about 2,000 people in attendance.
FS2 could at least move the game up earlier in the day instead of showing a repeat of Bayern's match. But whatever. I'll be watching a day late anyway because of other activities. Still, I'm shocked that they can't put this on FS+ and air whatever was scheduled there for later or on FS2. Either way, it has been typical Fox: feed commentary up until the Liverpool 1/2 Final and then we were treated to Fox talent (although I'm ok with Costigan as an announcer just not a fan of Holden as a commentator). Luckily there will be BBC options floating around.
A note about Fox's coverage of Club World Cup. Spoiler (Move your mouse to the spoiler area to reveal the content) Show Spoiler Hide Spoiler I was traveling when the final happened, so I found a way to watch the BBC broadcast on delay. When I returned home, I checked the fox broadcasts I recorded to my DVR (FS2 that same day and FS1 the next day). I only checked the first half but both cut minutes 12-21 since the game went to ET. I am floored by the decision-making with finals on the networks this year. Both Fox and BeIN have opted to show less important games unedited instead of showing finals and then editing those finals. Luckily territorial rights are meaningless in our current media environment.
Fox Sports got English language rights to the Concacaf Gold Cup, Concacaf Olympic Qualifiers, and Concacaf Champions League. https://worldsoccertalk.com/2020/01...cer-qualifiers-and-concacaf-champions-league/
This is interesting: Women's Olympic Qualifying between Canada and St. Kitts & Nevis is now live on FS2. The primary audio track on my U-Verse TV is Spanish. The SAP is a female speaking English and I have to turn it way up. She also said "Knee-vis." I've always said "Nev-is." The Spanish primary audio was fixed during the anthem. Also... My U-Verse streaming app had FS Ohio's broadcast of last night's Cavs game instead of the US women. I chalked it up to technical error, but I now wonder if it was some sort of rights issue.
Well for those of us with Bright House/Time Warner/Spectrum, FS+ is no longer part of the sports package and must be purchased a la carte for $10/month. That might be an even worse deal than $20/month for Fox Soccer Match Pass with Fox's soccer properties pretty much down to the Bundesliga, MLS and CCL.
I mentioned this before but for some reason those of us with Dish get free access to FS+ online and on the apps. I don't know if that is just a weird quirk or if they have a deal with them.
Yeah just saw that on their programming notice page https://www.spectrum.net/support/tv/spectrum-programming-notices Also being removed from Spectrum's top tier(Gold) package
Likely gone soon. Fox is ramping up the AFL on FS2 3-4 games a week now (up from 1-2). If FS2 gets the Grand Final (normally an FS+ exclusive), then look for FS+ to go away soon. Only question is where rugby league goes.
Didn't know that about the AFL. Was hoping they would go to ESPN+. (Then again, I hope everything goes to ESPN+.) My guess is for rugby, they'll get distribution through another provider. bein is always looking for content, especially since they recently lost a few properties. Maybe they can go there.
So is the A-League. ESPN+ shows the commercials for Fox Sports in Australia all the time. Even the highlight show is produced by Foxtel.
It's so sad how far it's fallen. I recently looked (ok, maybe it was a year or more ago) and didn't see Celtic on TV anywhere in the USA. You'd think Fox Soccer Plus would pick up those rights.
Watching Nashville/Atlanta on big Fox. What is the story with the frame rate? Feel like I'm watching a bein connect stream. It's awful.
