I wish them the best in the CPL. It's where they should be playing. I understand the hesitation for the first season but the CPL has proved very quickly that they are competitive. They should be fine and if for some reason the CPL collapses they can always try the USL again.
Fury FC has been forced to suspend operations. Despite best efforts, the club was unable to obtain required sanctioning from its governing bodies to participate in the USL in 2020.From everyone here at the club we wanted to thank all of our fans for their support over the years pic.twitter.com/2vUQYlk329— Ottawa Fury FC (@OttawaFuryFC) November 8, 2019

if you like USL financials and wonder where the $$$ go: https://www.soctakes.com/2019/12/10/nurock-significant-beneficiaries-usl-revenues/
Ottawa Fury sold their USL-C franchise rights to Silva, who likely got a price break compared to buying a new franchise. This gets USL Championship up to 35 teams for 2020.
Will the USL stay odd, or try for another team to remain at the 36 they were last season? This is the $64 question. Also, what are the odds the Monterey Bay relocation of the former Fresno FC team does happen?
