Dest is lucky not to have been sent off for a DOGSO as Willem II break on a bad turnover. Tackle from behind in the box only draws a YC and the PK is converted as Ajax are behind 0-1

    Surely not Dest's turnover?

Dest still in at 70' - a nice run out so far.

Noa Lang was subbed out earlier for Siem de Jong.

Promes was injured in the last game, so not available today.

I see Ajax 0-2 Willem II at 80' - cutting this one a bit close for comfort.

Mazraoui in for Blind, Traore in for Huntelaar - both at 80'

Dest going the full 90'

Dest was poor on the night. I gave him a 4.5, lowest of the Ajax players. He did not turn the ball over on the first goal but was not really aware of the danger and then the tackle from behind. He was careless on several other occasions with turnovers in poor locations. He was good going forward but a couple of crosses needed to be better.

All-in-all a good learning experience, agreed.

We also have to remember that he is still a very young player and still learning. I think he can be a good player at Ajax.
