Well, soccer analists donot like to give high marks in the Netherlands, so a 7 already is an outstanding result.
Played the first half of a 1-0 loss to the Brazil U23s yesterday. https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/20...rnational-football-festival-in-canary-islands
Injured, of course. http://americansoccernow.com/articles/a-look-at-the-u-s-u-23-roster-for-the-november-camp-in-spain "When you look at the players who are on this team, combine it with the players who are injured (Paxton Pomykal, Miles Robinson, Sebastian Soto, Chris Gloster)"
Ledezma is out after 65' while trailing 3-1. Game is almost over and 4-1. PSV is a good side at the senior level, but man does their reserve team suck.
And they're having a down season in league and Europe. All these reasons are why it should be taken with a grain of salt that he's loosely around the 1st team ATM. Their options aren't great, otherwise they wouldn't be giving consideration to a kid who has zero goals + assists against senior sides in the second division and when all the production he does have occurred in one match. Again, this is not a referendum on his future. But many need to pump the brakes on this one. He's not senior team material. Two wrongs make a right is not a compelling argument. He's firmly in the u23 squad, and I don't think starting as of now. There are probably multiple better options at that CAM spot.
He's just getting used to real pro play, and going by the ratings he gets by Voetbal International he's not doing bad. The young team is in a transition because a bunch of the talents got moved up into the first team selection and the replacements are really even less adapted to playing against real professionals than Ledezma, so it's not that strange they at the moment struggle. PSV first team is having a bad run, but that's more due to vital players injuries and stupid red cards vital players got themselves in than a lack of quality. The team's balance in quality and experience got a hit because of that.
couple tweets calling him a bright spot for jong psv, but making jong psv as a whole sound rather dire
NAC Breda is a promotion candidate and beat Jong PSV 3-1, but Ledezma repeatedly showed his ability to solve problems in traffic and generate attacking moments https://t.co/1NNJB9WRmr— scuffed (@scuffedpod) November 27, 2019
Nice to see him get recognition.... Seems like there is a real possibility of 1st team minutes in the 2nd half from at least two of the following: Richie, Gio, Uly and Otasowie.

Thanks for the vids autobus. It is hard to put up good numbers when you don't have a ton of support. Really hoping he can make the senior squad soon or gets a transfer to someone who is ready to let him play w/ the big boys.
3-0 Jong PSV at half. Wasn't involved directly in any of those goals. But was integral on the 2nd. Evaded the d in midfield and when he got the ball back played the fb in behind the defense who didn't have the angle but found a man who did that slotted home. Before that burst of desire had been a pretty sleepy first 20 minutes of missed passes and limited involvement. Was strong all-around for the next 15 or so. Coasted to halftime. Mixed bag I'd say. I'd give him a 6.
Off in the 82nd with PSV reserves up 3-2 trying to preserve a lead. I'd say he was good in the 2nd half with increased aggression but somewhat less precision. 7 for the 2nd half. 6.5 for the game. It was a pretty typical performance for him. One of the more influential offensive players in the middle part of the field. Held his own defensively. Didn't have those genius moments in the final 3rd. But getting closer to that first goal or assist against a senior side. Had a lead pass in the open field where his teammate probably could have taken a touch fw and had a shot. This is when he's at his best, driving into that space and then making the fundamental pass at the end. Had a few solid outside shots but right at the keeper. One in the box he should have done better with. The hockey assist was of the stronger variety.
Played 80 minutes in a 1-1 draw at Go Ahead Eagles. American, Mael Corboz, tallied his 5th assist for the Eagles. Close to US national team call-up?
