Ouch. That sort of nasty injury could be a career ender at his age.
I pray for a healthy recovery.

We need a LB and a GK to show up soon. Or a coach that plays 3 in the back

Getting benched in Mexico is not a good look. It's a shame because Roger did really well with Colombia in the summer, and Benedetto has a bright future but going to America although not first choice you assumed at least he'd be playing a ton and developing.

Hope that mean we stop the 3 up top formation :)

roger is over rated and wonder how long they are going to give him love because of the bowler against Argentina

There is a good player in Roger but he's inconsistent for sure. If Muriel didn't get hurt right away against Argentina then Roger wouldn't have been so prominent, but you have to give him credit for taking his chance. We can't criticize players for not doing it in yellow then when he shows up and does it when we needed him say we want someone else. I think Roger earned being involved but Morelos is rightfully so ahead of him for the 9 spot and Muriel is still ahead of him when healthy for the outside forward spot. Cuadrado can play off the left as well as Diaz, Villa although I'd rather Cuadrado didn't. If a guy like Roger isn't playing then we should move to the next guy, we're blessed right now with a lot of guys who are breaking through and the competition will keep them all on their toes hopefully.

That’s not going to happen LOL; outside of injury he will be integral to the CA and WCQ cycles

The good news with Benedetti being on the bench is that America probably won't fight much if Reyes calls him up in January for the Pre-Olympics.
(At least that is what I am hoping.)

Cuadrado has been one of Juventus best players by far. He's probably at the point right now where he's our best attacking RB and probably our best box to box 8. He's frustrated me a lot but he's playing consistently at a really high level and has seamlessly transitioned to a new position. Just need him to embrace the same type of role for Colombia that he does for Juve, which should not be hard with the right manager.

He is 10x better at Juve

All he does in yellow is lose the ball or dive or try the fancy play. He is Rodallega at the U20 Wc

You can't change who he is when he wears the yellow. I think he's actually done pretty well with CQ overall but at 31 going to 32 he has even less to lose. No one at the moment (even at his worse) is really challenging him at the starting 11.

But you can, we just haven't done it yet! As we age you get wiser and the position and tactical demands of CQ should make it clear that Cuadrado's role is different now, and if he doesn't do it then he should be shown the bench, I'd imagine he reverts to Juve Cuadrado pretty quickly if that was the case. There's a long list of players who have adapted roles as they lose the athleticism they once had, Cuadrado could be a better player for us if he does that and we know he can because he's doing it every week for Juve.

In theory it could work but I just cringe thinking about Cuadrado playing RB against most South American teams.
He just loses the ball way too easily at times and falls down expecting whistles that Refs never think about awarding him.

We must consider that at Juve he gets calls that he just never gets for Colombia in the back.

Dorlan looked pretty good in the Mundial de clubes against Liverpool.
He was on the right wing and was very active and dangerous. Also had a nice tiro libre.

Now I am not saying he should be called up but he is better than Berrio...
...so who knows? If Queiroz was watching today he might be tempted to see what he can do.

He also seems to have a nice chemistry with Medina on the wings so I think it would be an interesting experiment.

fuuuuuuuuckk no. He blew his chance a long time ago and he's 31, lots of better young options who will only improve. Get these old bums out of here, our young players are some of the best we've had, we don't need a guy that has 2G 5A in 21 games in Mexico who's 31 and was never that great in the first place, we have so many good young wide forwards who offer more.

As I said, I would not call him up personally but we are talking about a manager who called up Orlando Berrio for pete's sake.
And yes we do have good young attackers but none of them look like right wingers like Dorlan played today.
Factor in the Medina chemistry and Mexican league callups in general and I think he may have a 50-50 chance of being considered.

Dorlan's time with our NT is up. I liked him and I don't hold any grudges over that stupid free kick he stole from Hames, but honestly, the guy isn't getting younger, I'd rather have Campaz from Tolima, a player with similar playing style getting that spot.

Yes, but it seems like no players outside of Keepers and Nacional players get chances from the domestic league. So Campaz may have to wait a while or hope he get transferred to Mexico.
