IvanIV started a topic for Sheffield Wednesday, but not a generic one. I didn't realize that the season starts this soon until I checked FlashScore, but it does. Last year it started on Friday August 3. Today it starts at 7:45 P.M. local/2:45 Eastern/1:45 P.M. for IvanIV with Luton Town hosting Middlesbrough. Luton Town won League One last season.
A newspaper in Bangladesh used photos of Dustin and Lucas from Stranger Things as pictures of footballers Samuel Umtiti and Antoine Griezmann being friends since childhood. 😂😂🤣 pic.twitter.com/qI1p9y0Wg0— Footy Humour (@FootyHumour) July 20, 2019
After last Friday's opener, none of the last 11 games were draws. Going by exact end time for games that were at the same time, I wonder what the record is for consecutive games a league has had without a draw.
Using the goal differential and goals scored as tiebreakers, the clubs in the relegation zone are Middlesbrough (1 point, -2, 3 goals is fewer than Luton Town's 5 goals), Huddersfield Town (same amount of points, goals scored, and goals allowed as Middlesbrough), and Stoke City (1 point, -3). All three of them were in the Premier League recently.

It copied the whole table but when I pasted it didn't flow correctly, ar should as I had copied it? Anyway, deleted all the stats and then it told me I couldn't paste more than 10 images so I had to delete most of the badges. The team names are live links to their espn page.

At first an announcer said Charlie Austin kicked the goalkeeper. From the closeup, there was no contact. Austin may have anticipated the goalkeeper coming closer to him, but he clearly wasn't tripped.
