A couple of tweets that bring up an interesting prospect, Aldo Cubillo in Paraguay, but can't find anything to support the US link: 1164978876268916736 is not a valid tweet id 1164979623052136448 is not a valid tweet id Him playing for "Sol de America" doesn't help to sort through the Google results, either.
Vito is now at Randers. The good people at that club were kind enough to connect me with him, and very politely informed me that, unfortunately (for our purposes, anyway), he was born in Copenhagen -- and, to be clear, not the ones in New York state or Louisiana. (He does believe some relatives may have moved to the U.S., but he has no claim to U.S. citizenship.) Onward...
He appears to be their #3 GK now. https://www.tebe.de/maenner/ I think it's pretty likely that he's Joel's older brother.
Transfermarkt says Thomas Robinson, in U19 Bundesliga with Cottbus, is American. https://www.transfermarkt.us/thomas-robinson/profil/spieler/696337 Official photo here. http://www.fcenergie.de/u19-a-junioren.html According to this, his full name is Thomas Vincent Robinson. German-born attacker. https://globalsportsarchive.com/people/soccer/thomas-robinson/333666/ Might be worth following up. I intermittently tracked Andres Souper for over a year simply because his T'markt page said he was American with no other proof online, and recently it turned out to be true.
I haven't been able to find out too much more about him, but a few articles I came across have him as being from Atlanta. It seems he had been in the area already at some kind of school-and-training institution called the "Lausitzer Sportschule Cottbus." (There's an '01 named Tommy Robinson with the Atlanta-area Kalonji organization, but I don't think it's the same guy.)
Kevin Jeon is now on the roster for California United Strikers FC in NISA. Wikipedia says he was born in Los Angeles. Growing up in Irvine, he played for the Irvine Strikers. Lived in Korea town in Los Angeles until he was 13 years old. https://strikersnisa.sportzstudio.com/roster/kevin-jeon
not a reliable source but looks like Iffy Udanoh is English-Nigerian-American. https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=33339 https://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=33447
supposed German-American, 99-Weiss has extended his Ingolstadt contract, unknown for how long other than long term. #Schanzer Dreierpack‼️🤩🖤❤️#Pintidis, #Bilbija, #Weiß: Drei ehemalige #Jungschanzer verlängern ihre Verträge langfristig 👏👏Gratulation, Männer! Wir gehen unseren eingeschlagenen Weg konsequent weiter 👍Alle Infos: https://t.co/SnnkJ24COd pic.twitter.com/eTdGY0IneH— FC Ingolstadt 04 (@Schanzer) September 4, 2019 Florian Zehe, technical director of the Schanzer: "We continue on our way with a mixture of young and experienced players and are therefore happy that Filip, Jorgo and Gabi have chosen us in the long term we are convinced that it is the right thing to do, and we also feel that our environment and the fans are joining in. The three guys can become important building blocks of our team in the future and they will have the time to develop and be able to play collect that's important. " Although from the 3, the older Weiss so far has been more of a II player while the other 2 have been part of 1st team.
Not sure the best place for this but seemed worth noting and somewhat amusing. Here's one of several recent reports that all seem to say more or less the same thing: Tarik Antonio Mebarak made his debut this weekend for Los Tricolores' second team, who play in the fourth division of Catalonia's regional-league system, appearing for the full 90 minutes in a 4-1 victory over Rialp on Sunday. The son of Shakira's brother Tonino, Mebarak was without a club, having previously had spells in the youth set-ups at Colombian sides Junior de Barranquilla and Independiente Santa Fe. The 19-year-old has also spent time training with other clubs in Spain and in the United States, where he had a stint in the Miami Soccer Club academy run by the Argentinian coach Alejandro Waigandt. https://en.as.com/en/2019/10/22/football/1571746282_065929.html Tonino Mebarak is Shakira's half brother, I think. This appears to be a third-division club. https://www.fcandorra.com/ So, I'm not 100% sure he's American -- or not American. Despite his familial fame, there just doesn't seem to be too much information about him online. The link to Miami Soccer Club does appear to be real. This might make him an '00: http://www.ncysaclassic.com/team/team.aspx?teamid=FLM00250&tid= If you get to ask hips about this, you can be certain of a truthful answer.
I've been going through my list of search sites and updating things when I see that sites have changed or come down, requiring tweaks to Google tactics. Here's a tweak for searching Fussballn, which tracks lower-division German players: staaten site:http://www.fussballn.de/sites/person/ It's not perfect but seems somewhat useful. More to come...
He's been called into Cyprus's Euro Qualifiers: https://www.agonasport.com/agonaspo...for-scotland-and-belgium-qualifiers-announced
Transfermarkt lists Gledi Mici as a dual Yank-Albanian, playing in North Macedonia: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/gledi-mici/profil/spieler/203194 Couldn't find any confirmation in a Google search.
You reminded me I reached out to his club a while back and never got a response. Also couldn't easily find much online that was useful.
He was at FC Haute-Gruyère last season, but not sure where he might be now. https://www.aff-ffv.ch/fr/Associati...x/v-767/t-33246/sg-50297/ls-17079/tg-3023051/
The Wikipedia page for B93 in the Danish third tier lists Matthias Andersen as an American. Transfermarkt lists him as having only Danish citizenship. Can anyone find further info?
I found these 2 young men while confirming a couple of American women playing in Argentina. SA10 Academy doesn't have much online presence beyond Facebook, but everything appears to be done in English. SA10 Academy July 28 · Glad to announce that Ernie Aguilera and Alex Chavez have joined Club San Lorenzo (Argentina 1st div) 2003 youth academy! Congrats boys! Ernie's Instagram is filled with pics from Argentina: https://www.instagram.com/ernieaguilera10/ All the comments are in English, so that should be an indicator that they aren't recent immigrants. But no indication that they are Americans, either.
Saw this on MLS Buzz twitter. Andrés Perea at Atlético Nacional was born in Tampa, Florida in November 2000. Transfermarket has him already playing 7 games for Nacional as a CM/DM. He started 4 games for Colombia at the U20 world cup this summer. *Edit - he started all 5 games for Colombia but was subbed out in the 41st minute and 45th minute in two of the games. 18-year-old Colombian defensive midfielder Andrés Perea has an offer from an unnamed MLS team.Perea was born in Tampa, Florida, but was raised in Colombia and plays for Atlético Nacional. He does have a thread, but it's quiet. https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/andrés-perea-in-colombia.2065592/
Here's a site that decided Barco is American. Go Barco! https://www.fussballeuropa.com/news/united-und-arsenal-englische-grosklubs-werben-um-us-boy-2019-11
I've been revisiting my list of useful sites for looking for possible players, attempting to see which still work, which are useful, and which don't/aren't. This is unfinished but helps a bit. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16zZzus-m2xHEAg_HZepbkclVioYzQUwdS6eab972Sw4/edit?usp=sharing Happy to learn of any new sites, tools, etc., and will add them here.
It seems that Aladeen Younes, who plays for Qatari club Al-Sadd, who will be facing off against our own Jonathan Gonzalez in the club World Cup, is American born https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aladeen_Younes
Anybody know of a good online player database (something with fairly detailed player profile pages, including birthdate, citizenship, etc.) for the Dutch leagues? Maybe @feyenoordsoccerfan?
Yeah, it's definitely useful. Still, I'd love something local that goes further down the pyramid. I think I used to use Voetbal.nl, years ago, though I may be remembering things incorrectly.
