And how incredibly different is this now, compared to managers past? Smart, game changing subs. Frank is doing great man.

Kov, and James in Zaha shutdown, also in motm discussion for me; thought Willian, outside set delivery, was especially superb in 1st half and bright all match, Kante had a good return, makes it look easy

I feel like Conte was really good with second half adjustments in our title winning season, but yeah, this hasn't been the norm.

Willian was really good today. Tammy has the great ability to be quiet, but he's always making those runs wide or in behind that result is goals.

What are we thinking for the Pool v Citeh match? Methinks a draw suits us best.

Tammy's looking like a real striker... can do very little for long periods and then scores.

TBH, though, he's a constant threat and is always liable to play on the shoulder of the last man and stick the ball in the net.

    Gotta be, hasn't it.

Put's citeh ahead on GD but also means 'pool doesn't get too far away.

Tammy has shown in the last few matches he has everything a top striker needs including today the ability to take one chance and score. Like you say he was also popping up out wide to get the ball so even in a low key performance the effort is still manifesting (a trademark of this lampard side tbh).

It is frustrating at times when you see him stand in offside positions and not even jogging back into place but cannot argue with the results. I'm glad to see him prove the doubters wrong.

Pool-Citeh draw would work best for Chelsea. It still seems a bit ambitious to think such a young team with new manager can keep up with last year's CL and PL champions. But then again, how many people picked Leicester City to win the PL when they did ?

There are a couple of posters here who will always find a way to throw shade at Pulisic. But he certainly is making it more difficult every day.

He's always standing on the CB's back shoulder and willing to make those runs. It's pretty crazy to think how easy he makes it look.

    ¿Que?

I don't think anyone threw shade. The criticism of him being the last one to touch the ball were valid. I just thought that was more a problem with how we were attacking in the final third.

Puli has been good, probably the MOTM today. We don't have to make it be a thing either.

Only able to watch the last 15 minutes or so. Was James that good or was Zaha that bad?

Agreed. And not just in shutting down zaha. When he got forward he was always looking to push the ball and make something happen. One of our better players today.

Very professional victory from us. Nice to see. A couple players could use a rest I think.

Yep, his crosses can be so good. Really think he's a long term solution to the position.

I sometimes think he needs a better job of looking to find a better option than simply taking the shot. But then again, it's his dribbling/ball control which allows him to put himself in a position to take the shot, so why not ?

Earlier in the year, some fans wanted Willian off the pitch, but lately his contributions (as well as Pulisic) have helped keep CHO on the bench. Willian was MOTM pitch for me because of the great assist to Abraham as well as being very involved in the offense. Pulisic also put in a good shift looking dangerous every time he had the ball near/in the box.

Who is this Zaha character ? A relative newbie (James) seems to have kept him pretty quiet.

I think this is a Lampard thing, as it is a relatively new development in his game. He has mostly been a set up man in his past rather than a goal scorer, but I think Frank believes in taking the shot and likely teaches that.

I agree I see my middle school team give up possession in and aorund the box often and I always teel them you never get a goal if you don't shoot. They aren't a club team, more like rec players, just shoot the damn ball in sight of goal anything can happen, one of your mates might even get a headed goal on a rebound
