It was pretty bad there at the end. Australia just kind of gave up, or maybe they were tired? Either way they were destroyed by a very good South Korean team.

It makes me think that Young Nadeshiko are going to struggle to beat North Korea. Young Nadeshiko will have to be very careful not to concede a goal early. I think they need to play nice, confident, but safe football early on.

 

Am I reading the JFA site correctly.....Japan v South Africa will be broadcast live on NTV because I believe this is available via AQ Stream

 

Somehow think the referee is going to play a crucial role in this game as well.If early bad fouls go unpunished anything could happen

 

Yeah it is being shown on Nihon Television. The time of the match was changed to 12:45 because of the Emperor's enthronement ceremony.

Good game

Lots of slick passing from Young Nadeshiko...good defensive play from Korea DPR..no breakthroughs though (yet)

 

Well that was a good first half of football. Both teams are not giving away too much. Young Nadeshiko need to start taking a few more risks around the goal area and only there, because North Korea look quite dangerous.

Young Nadeshiko have got into some good scoring positions, but have not really taken any good shots on goal. This is partly due to the Korean defence being pretty solid. But Young Nadeshiko need to put the ball in the box and see what happens more. I do not think a beautiful goal is going to win this one. A scrappy goal will do.

Other than that it has been a good game. It may end up going to penalties.

Good play by Nakao to set up the goal. She has been quite negative in this match but that was much better.

 

It was a nice goal too.

I would like to see Takahashi more for Urawa next year. I think she is a pretty solid player.

 

All it takes is a goal and the complexion of the game could change quite quickly.
