I should be known by now for not ever caring about friendlies. It was high time that Morales got a look in a meaningful game.

Respectfully, you argued strongly against him being included last year - similar to the argument you're currently making against Robinson......

Last year he wasn't playing well. It's all about form: Morales goes up and down, and even now I don't think he's going to be something to write home about, but he's earned the look.

As for Robinson, thus far he's shown nothing. There's a difference between not showing anything and going up-and-down.

The day I watch Robinson and feel he can contribute, I'll be the first one asking for him to be given another shot.

A year ago Morales had been benched. He earned back his starting spot, by showing well when he was given a new chance.

That's how you know who is actually watching and who isn't: form changes. 18 months ago calling someone like Amon was good, guy was in form, and playing. Calling him now would be foolish: he's not even making the squad.

Same with Green. Some people only watched last season and still think he sucks. This season he's been good. Six months ago I was opposed to calling Green because of his form, now I support him getting another shot.

Form changes. You cannot expect someone actually following players from changing his stance about the guy being called or not. On the contrary, it's those who are consistent the ones who are not following, and just watched the guy a few times a year back and are stuck in an old, outdated opinion.

please. We’ve both been on this thread for years. Morales earned 50% of the total minutes last year and a good chunk of the missing time was because of injury.

furthermore, you always forget to include a reference point. For Alfredo, it’s either trapp or roldan and he’s always been a better player than both.

If memory serves me right. He was mostly benched not because he wasn't playing well but because the team was continuously loosing. Once the team got in a tie or win streak they rode that lineup until it didn't work.
The career of Morales is a bit hard to gauge because he was always in losing teams. that required survival mode playing.

They changed style. They were losing with basically all the balls going through Fredo, who was doing a fine job distributing but a poor one covering the CBs.

Bayern dominating the match and takes the lead early 1-0 off a set play. Morales has been energetic if not particularly effective although that can be said for the entire team.

Bayern is so bored of winning the Bundesliga they make it a challenge: every season they start worse and worse, to see if they can climb back and how fast.

Yes. If you don't already. He's the man for USMNT clips (and some good info now and again as well)

Morales started as an advanced midfielder like McKennie does for Schalke except he doesn't bring the aerial threat or the ability to run with the ball.

Hoffenheim was up 1-0 most of the game. Duesseldorf was having trouble creating quality chances.

But right before the 90th min a long ball is put into Morales who's in the middle of the box. It hits off him and gets to the feet of their striker who blats home the equalizer

I kind of like Morales in that attacking midfielder role. He was a bit off page with his strikers for the 1st half but was pretty darn good in the 2nd. He had a double give-and-go in serious traffic near the 18 that created a wide open chance but the shooter shanked it. Not sure his touch for the assist was by design... looked like a bit of fortune... but his hustle plays up front when Fortuna is pressing. Well deserved draw IMO... they needed Zach to stand on his head a few times and their crosses as a team are pretty atrocious... but a better game for them offensively overall.

Not one of Fredo's best games... but Fortuna finally gets a victory. Most of that team is hot garbage... but Hennings is a stud and had one heck of a goal. Tommy can also make some things happen and out-does Hennings w/ his bow-and-arrow stunner. That team desperately needed that win.
