    Don't see an AZ thread...

I've watched them a few times this year and man, they are fun. Their attacking front is awesome. Seem fearless. Really think they have a shot at 2nd.

What on earth did he do to be so popular over there?? I mean he was just an average defender, was he not??

  3. He was a cult hero with a very colourful lifestyle.

With all the political problems in Barcelona I wonder if they will play another home match any time soon. The Real Madrid match has already been postponed to mid-December.

DeLigt with yet another handball that shouldve been a penalty but wasnt given. At this rate he averages one blunder or handball per game

He's only 20 and better than any of the other defenders on the team. He's also playing slightly out of position on the left side.

  10. There was some years ago a defender with PSV who had a bad habit, I think it was to go to the ground to slide tackle to eager or to put his arms around a player, not sure which one, that caused him alot of free kicks/penalties. So the coach made him carry on his body little balls to make him feel a very uncomfortable experience when he did his usual thing in training. It worked:ROFLMAO:
So how are you going to Pavlov de Ligt in keeping his hands out of the balls way?:cautious:

He made contact with the ball with his feet and then it bounced up and hit him in the arm with him having no idea. It wasn't a penalty. I do agree though that he needs to change his technique since he is having too many close calls.

But he also played a solid game and seems to be gaining confidence each match. He still isn't up to the level he is capable of but it will come. He is still so young

My hometown team, DC United, got dumped out of the MLS playoffs last night by Toronto. It was Wayne Rooney's last game for the club. They conceded an early goal and then tied the game in added time off a corner kick. they quickly conceded 4 goals in the overtime period which must be some kind of record for a team who did not have anyone sent off.

  13. :ROFLMAO::D:p
And there are mls fans continually dissing Eredivisie defenders and Eredivisie clubs for leaking goals like a siff.

Liverpool without Mo Salah was boring and predictable. That said, they were robbed big time by referee and VAR today. Two harsh decisions against them... on the foul before they were conceded a goal, and on disqualified goal due to an incidental handball. Best part of the match was when James ran into the brick of muscle of Van Dijk, and crumbled down instantaneously. Hope somebody made a good video clip out of it :p

The EPL has not implemented VAR in case you are wondering. Almost every EPL match I have watched contains an incident that would be dealt with by VAR in the Dutch league and goes ignored in the EPL. there is too much deference to the CR (central referee) in the EPL and I don't think VAR ever transmit a message 'you have to look at this.'

Look how Makkelie handled the two YCs in the PSV match yesterday. VAR told him to take a look, he did, and then came out changed Yellow to Red. This never happens in the EPL. You can also look at the clear penalty in the Spurs match yesterday when Vertongen took the man down; no intervention by VAR on what was 'clear and obvious' to anyone watching the match. It's a total joke and I'm to the point of giving up watching those matches.

  16. When the Totally Hotshits mowed down Kevin deBruyne and the ref didnot even pull out a yellow card for badly injuring him, you know refereeing in the epl is corrupt or incompetent or both.
If there's one league in dire need for a VAR it is the epl, as a majority of those refs are beyond incompetent, they're a health hazard for the players they are supposed to protect. It's a bit like in the old days England obstructed progress from cole burning trains to electric ones by the unions demanding a cole shoveler must be on the train. The obstruction towards VAR is simply a protective measure for the incompetent refs.
However to put VAR in place you need alot of competent refs in the first place. It wouldnot surprise me if VAR in the epl soon would become a farce full of the same faults the refs on the pitch makes.

He was unfortunate on this one as he was pulling his hand back in but didn't get it to his body soon enough. Other than that he had a good match.

Barca only get a draw in the CL home match against Slavia Prague. How long can Valverde hold on as manager?
