According to the Daily Torygraph: Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, 20, has impressed England's coaching staff and he could take 25-year-old club team-mate Ross Barkley's place in the starting XI for the game in Bulgaria.

I'm still trying to figure out why Southgate didn't give some young up and commer a shot instead of Barkley.

I just don't get what he brings to International level.

Indeed. But Sarri played him regularly and now Frank. Doing this Kovacic/Barkley thing. Of course the general consensus is that Kovacic is the superior player and yet, well, when will he score a goal? His lack of goals worries me, even Jorghino can hit them from distance and even Kante gets himself on the score sheet.

But Dross Barkley. He would be a good solid player in a mid-table team.

Anybody get to actually watch the game, caught the post game highlights and they weren't very favourable.

Pulisic et al are on at 7.00 I see, playing some island or whatnot.

Of course the international break. . . .N'Golo Kante suffered an injury in the warm-up before the France game. Olivier Giroud scored his 37th international goal for the world champions from the penalty spot in the second half as the French edged past Iceland.

Yes Cuba. It was a waste of everyone’s time. Canada should be a better test but still subpar.

According to the often hilarious fifa rankings, canada are tucked in just behind Cape Verde Islands and Iraq.

Hope Tomori gets his England game today. He is such a great bloke.

Reasons to like Tomori part two: Did you know Tomori accidentally broke former Chelsea striker Diego Costa's nose in a training session?

Tomori doesn't get his chance as England are Minging.

Dross Barkley is in the starting line-up.

Anyone watchinig the game, will get to see if Ben Chilwell is the real deal or not.

Barkley just scored again for England. He has two goals now and he is on for the hat-trick.

England 3-0 up and the Bulgarians getting all racist.
