Maybe a hilariously positive result, just to make us really extra annoyed at how this season could have gone.

    But probably not though.

I was about to start this thread, just to avoid not having one for the first time in a long time, if ever, but luckily Buzz saved the day! Vermes, please start Lindsey.

hooooo boy. I thought there would be some sense of pride to SKC's game today. There is nothing but defeat in their eyes.

This is all on Peter in my opinion. He better learn from this season.

Most coaches would be fired after ending the season with no wins in the last 6 and losing the final 0-6.

Looks like the team took the same stance.

Clearly, this team needed more time in their altitude tents.

It would have been a good drinking game: Take a swig every time the announcers say given up( or a synonym, such as capitulated, look defeated, etc).
Would have been a good drunk. Crap, just watched a car hit a cyclist outside my window. No injury, but the bike is trashed. Maybe that's a metaphor?
In any case, our Audi score was 1216, which is pretty pathetic. We had three players at or above an average MLS performance, which of course makes sense. Felipe G, Busio, Martins. Take their points away, and the rest of the side totaled 130 Audi points. true, add the points totals from Besler, Barath and Lindsey and you, almost, get one more average performance out of the team, but that's probably.
Last week, I think it was Warshaw or Doyle mentioned the old three year rule. That a manager goes stale with players after three years, even in the best situations. They noted that Vermes had seriously beaten the odds on this and had a strong decade. But maybe ...
Obviously, Vermes has a lot more to give as a manager. he's been very, very good until March, and he's still young and still intense.
But something will have to change dramatically after a season such as this. This was a total collapse year. Next year is a rebuilding year, and we should expect to be building for 2021 or 2022. It's either a new manager or a roster that doesn't include anyone over 30. IMO, 2020 needs to be the new 2010.

I was lamenting the advent of a five month off season, but I might need five months to forget this mess.

Agreed. I'd start with post 10 in this thread (by Buzz) and make a new 2020 Burn it down? or Prop it up? thread. (and delete this post)

We do have a roster movement thread already available, we could just go to there?

Just as a point, I’m not a mod and can’t divide threads (maybe I’m misreading, but I thought that was what was being implied). That’s a job for @vividox or @KCFutbol

I moved several posts over, kept some here that were still kind of talking about the Dallas game. Moving forward, please use this thread to only talk about the Dallas game and move the offseason discussion to the pinned thread.

Or, you know, don't talk about the Dallas game. That works too.

I watched the game on my phone while we drove back from Minneapolis. What a waste of bandwith/data.
