Hopefully he dominates the league and scores a bunch of goals like Rodallega.

I hope the entire team does; in the champions league relying on one player will be their undoing. It would be refreshing to see the entire team contributing and pulling their weight as well.

Wow. After all these years, Maradona is still high up on this list.

My friend from Argentina was just in Naples and said it was shocking as to how revered Maradona still is (30 years later) in that part of the country. Every other corner was like a shrine to Maradona. I know we all like poking fun at maradona’s off field habits/actions post playing career, but he was a true people’s champ to the Napolitans

There's a documentary that is coming our or just came out on Maradona that I really want to see, he's definitely equal parts legend and villain but nobody can take away his talent and you have to respect that he tried at least to speak up for the poor.

Not shocking at all look at Napoli’s history he won them their only 2 Sería A titles and their only European title. Those two teams might still be the only southern Italian teams to win a title.

I love Diego he might be a bad caricature of himself nowadays but he was an amazing player:

Falcao has scored a goal today so far in his first match.
It was a fortuitous bounce off the defender but hey, it still counts.

He also had another two great chances that he missed. So far he plays very well.

And try to feed babel but the pass was a bit strong. In general he plays very well today. I'm satisfied.

    Indeed.
Should be fun watching him develop some chemistry with Babel.

Falcao was a bit slow in reaction and even hesitated at certain points. Hopefully, this season will get him back into shape.

Jesus this team is being owned by a Belgium team...I know that they have the home advantage but how can we be optimistic for this team to make it deep into the CL if they can't even dominate a Belgium team?

Real Madrid and PSG are in their group, they can't go deep in the champions league when they have no shot at getting out of their group! That Belgium team held Atletico to a scoreless draw at home and Borussia as well at Borussia so they aren't slouches, I would have been surprised if they won tbh, they have some good players but they haven't played together and will need time to gel. Their best bet is to get it together beat Brugges at home and try get get 3-4 points from PSG and Madrid over 4 games and gel in time for the Europa League later rounds.

I think that if they gel at time....they can beat the spot of madrid, supposing zidane will be in charge until the end......

If they wanted to take Madrid's spot they probably had to win that game. I don't think Madrid is very good right now, but the talent they have should easily let them beat Gala especially in their first months/year of being together as a team.

the only have won 7 matches since zidane returned in march.......the favorite is madrid and probably that gala or brugge steal tghe spot arent high.......but much higher than psg spot.......

zidane is having crisis, pressure, limit roster and a bad coach...but talent

So for some odd reason they decided to sub in Falcao in the 90' minute after their opponent equalized...I mean why brother? He's not some young inexperienced footballer. Either give him real minutes or don't bother subbing him in a game.

mehhh....the coach have to look the best for his club.....despite the category and name of falcao......is like if he thinks that sub in falcao will work....he should do it........dont matter if falcao gets bothered or not...........he is a player under the instructions of a coach not a diva with special privileges...

On top of that resting and rotating Falcao is a good sign, he's getting older and to keep him at his peak he can't play 90 every 2-3 days, makes sense to rest him after a game midweek and use him as a sub.
