And they got him and like 400k to 500k for Hagglund. There is a reason why people laugh at that trade by FCC.
Also shows how pivotal it is to have a rock at CB for every team in MLS. Without an anchor at CB, it's pretty difficult to do anything.
I watched all of that on mute. What was going on with that review? I didn't see a good replay and was not quite sure what the focus of the review was whether something in the box or an offside or two. LAFC though they scored.
Listening to it didn't help, as the Galaxy announcers are also unsure what the review was for and semi-expected it to come back if it was for offside.
These late games are the ones that cause me to go crazy when I hear from someone that hasn't watched an MLS game in a decade (or ever) say the league is crap. Galaxy's front 5 has God, a 22 y/o Argentine international that played in the '18 World Cup, 2 players that have US caps in the last year or so, and 2 current Mexican internationals. LAFC has a player that may be sold for 15+ million this winter, a Mexican international that came while starting in La Liga, possibly one of Uruguay's best prospects this decade, and a player Barca was looking to sign on the bench. TFC has one of the best players in the Belgian league last year, a player that crushed the Eredivisie when he was there, a player that had interest in one of the top two leagues in Germany (Osorio), and a player that turned down a La Liga come to join them (Auro). The rosters the teams have these days are a whole lot different than they were just 5 years ago.
Think it was for offside on the initial ball in. Don't think they had an angle that could clearly say if it was on or not. Not to fear though, we can get HawkEye: Yeah, I'm going to bang the drum on this till the end of the season.
A day may come when Orlando City makes the playoffs. But it is not this day. Five points back of a team that has a game in hand is too far to go. Playing against the 11th place team in the Western Conference seemed like the time to get some points.
as a TFC supporter, I am enjoying the schadenfreude I'm getting from watching Orlando fail year after year
Interested in seeing what they do with Antuna. He would have been a DP with NYCFC because of salary and everything (sister clubs have to carry a player at their full salary while other teams can take them on loan at partial salary). Have to assume if they want to keep him he'd be a DP. And judging by how he acts on the field I think he would stay. However, that would fill them up on DP's even if Ibra and Alesandrini leave and I still think they go big on their 3rd DP (bigger than Pavon).
This will be year 5 so they're only halfway to TFC's record for futility. Kind of amazing when you stop and think about it.
Not long ago, they lost to Vancouver. Now, they didn't lose to Chicago. Next week, maybe they won't lose to Orlando... Seriously, they looked like an expansion team that has played about 8 games together. This is where they should have been in May. The positive was that they didn't let mistakes kill them like they had in the past. The negative... No goal scorer. They are getting to where they have a foundation to build on. Which is where an expansion team should be after their first season.
That's gotta be a penalty for LAFC. Mavinga missed the ball totally and kicked Latif Blessing in the chest.
