MLS site is reporting Inter Miami will sign David Silva this summer when his City contract is up. https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2019...ami-set-sign-manchester-city-star-david-silva
The Independent article is clear that it'll be summer 2020: He'll be 34.5 by the time he plays in MLS.
A lot can happen between now and then...he's already going to be a DP so not like they couldn't throw money at Man City to make him come half a season earlier.
Didn't Gio Reyna sign at Dortmund? You'd have thought that CFG would have tried to keep him in the family......... Anywho, Silva has been a stalwart and talismanic for Man City. If he wants to play in Miami, it's very doubtful they'd prevent him from doing that.
hard to get too excited about a 35yo, hopefully they balance that with some big time teenage prospects
Diomande out indefinitely for LAFC as he enters the leagues SABH program: https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2019...mande-voluntarily-enters-leagues-sabh-program
This news just in #MLS: #LAFC forward Adama Diomande has voluntarily entered into MLS’ Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health Program. He will be unavailable for both competition & team activities until he is cleared by program officials. #MLSCupPlayoffs @MLS— Glenn Crooks (@GlennCrooks) September 20, 2019 Wow, hope he gets the help he needs!
Pellegrini (19) is a young DP while Carranza 19) apparently is a regular or TAM signing as is Makoun (19, see a pattern?). They signed Norman from VWFC and, depending on reports, are in negotiations with Exequiel Palacios (20) and already agreed to a deal with Matias Godoy (17). Grabbing Silva as an experienced leader and a mentor to that group makes perfect sense if they aren't landing Messi (HAHAHAHA, I'd die) or even Palacios (someone who was apparently going to Real Madrid before he got injured last winter). Doesn't hurt that he can still start for one of the best teams in the world. We get hung up on age but does anyone seriously think that there are all but about 15 teams in the world that wouldn't take him next year?
Apparently Junior Agogo's funeral was today in London. A nice retrospective of his club career, including a shot from his Rapids days and a shot of the SJ Earthquakes championship ring he earned. https://www.graphic.com.gh/sports/sports-news/manuel-junior-agogo-a-club-career-in-pictures.html
It is also Sept 20th, did you think a) The signing was happening tomorrow? or b) Silva's contract expired on a random weekend 5 games into the season? So yeah, 2020.
