The 2019 race for a spot in MLS Cup playoffs has been hotly contested. Week 28 brought some clarity. DC United and Toronto FC both took huge steps towards securing their places in the postseason. Minnesota United got a huge victory over RSL to move closer to the clubs first MLS postseason berth. Meanwhile in Quebec Le Impact continued their summer of losing against FC Cincy. FCD continues to play their kids, and also continues to be wildly inconsistent. Week 29 should bring more clarity, and/or more chaos! All game times are eastern. If this was the US Open Cup two years ago, then I'd rate Cincinnati's chances in this game. But it isn't, so it seems like an Atlanta romp to me.
True, but still disappointing. Plus, I'd have played closer to the A team and done the rotation at LAFC. Unlikely to get much out of that one, regardless.
Bertone for FCC made a truly terrible defensive run. Mind you, Josef Martinez was masterful, but his run was essentially direct from one box to the other. Bertone was step for step with him as they came into Cincy's half, but while Josef kept going straight Bertone never glanced at him and ended up marking space over near Pity instead of marking Josef.
Either you influenced the game by saying Atlanta were playing like crap or the commentators did by saying Cincinnati was on the verge of scoring.
