It's the same ********ing team from last year that finished 7th while beating or playing well against the top 6 teams. Seriously, just ********off now. You're here to stir the pot and I'm not having any of it. You've added nothing to any discussion you've been apart of except to say Pulisic needs to leave in January which is the dumbest shit anyone has said on here in a while, which is saying something.

Yes, he is saying that. He's been saying that Pulisic needs to leave in January because he's only going to play League Cup matches. He showed up after Pulisic didn't play against Wolves saying that Pulisic is done here.

This was always my biggest fear with Pulisic coming here is that American fanboys would have knee jerk reactions at every turn with regards to Puli. This shit's gonna get old really fast.

Nah, he’s just that dumb and hasn’t yet realized that they’re dealing with playing in Europe for the first time.

@nicephoras where did you see that Ross actually is the penalty taker?

Having Pulisic come here always worried me, but if we're winning and he is on the bench, I don't care, to be honest.

What bothers me is that he's not playing ahead of players who are clearly not as impactful as he is (Barkley and Pedro). And that's on Lampard to explain; which he did not do very well yesterday.

Lampard said it in his post match last night. Jorg and Willian are the main ones, but for some reason, once Barkley gets on the field, he's the taker.

    Odd.

I took that as coach speak. He's not going to throw anyone under the bus.

Don't get me wrong, the entire situation was weird, from Willian trying his shoes to everyone coming up to him and talking to him. That says to me that he isn't the taker and perhaps we didn't have one.

    Also, again, where was Dave?

I don't disagree with any of this and think it's spot on. Pedro was trash yesterday, like genuinely awful. On Sunday, if Pulisic doesn't start inland Pedro does, it'll be hugely disappointing to me. He was really good against Liverpool in the Super Cup, like one of the best players on the pitch good.

Also, re: Pedro, how long is his leash going to be? With CHO coming back, you have to think that he'll move up in the pecking order.

Pedro is good for a flash maybe 3-4 times a year at this point.

Yep, and I always come back to this with him when I'm discussing Chelsea with any of my friends. He's good for a moment or two a game, but otherwise he's rather toothless. Sure he has a good work rate but so much of the other things he does are detrimental to the squad.

Still hoping for a 433 once all the pieces are in place. Think it suits are players the best.

That is incredibly harsh. He isn't always on his game but works hard and tries to give something.

Maybe, but it isn't terribly far from the truth. I value Pedro, he's much more of a scoring threat than Willian is. His work rate is good to, but it's glaring to me (just my opinion) is how often he can be a passenger. He was honestly bad yesterday. Not that we were particularly good, but in particular he was bad. He far too often was central getting the ball at the midway line and moving towards our goal.

Hopefully we ditch the 3421 formation here soon and get back to playing with width where players like Pedro can offer something. But I do question what his longterm value is here.

For me, he is more consistent than Willian but that is opening another can of worms isn't it? :)

But agree that both need to be replaced.

Lord, don't get me started on the best finisher ever....

The one value that Willian offers IMO is his set piece delivery. Otherwise, he's rather useless. Did I mention he can't finish?

I think the thing people are most dissapointed with regarding Willian is his lack of goals. It's pretty remarkable how little he's scored considering how many minutes he's played for us.

    This.

Mason Mount has played 5 PL games in 2019 and has as many league goals as Willian managed in all of the 2018-2019 season.
