Disregard, I posted my swoop for Adrian in the wrong thread.

It seems that blech would have beaten me anyways.

Darn database. I went to swoop for Adrian the minute it looked like he was going to sub for Allison, but he wasn't in the database yet. I checked several times through halftime, still not listed.

My "Steal of the Draft" Alli, is offloaded. I can't afford to lose value with this player so early in the season.

Added the impressive Ndombele TOT MID 6.0 for a full 2.5 M less than Alli. Plus, Ndombele has enough Transfers IN he'll likely rise in price by next week.

Lacazette is back in business and Ceballos might be a steal at 5.5 so had to pick him up. The Ozil saga is never ending so I don’t think it will be a productive season for him, but hopefully things will turn around at least for him off the field after some crazy incidents. I’ll post the Sandy Cup tournament in this thread later this year, starting with the Boxing Day matches. I think it will be very competitive since our division has good parity among the teams.

The Arsenal players (and coach Emery) forgot to show up this week too. Lacazette played well last week and then entered the game today at the 81st min:confused:

I know this is an EPL thread but how about that Philadelphia Union win tonight! Back in first place in the east after beating Atlanta and motivated to win their first ever MLS Cup:thumbsup:

It was a great game. Philly could've been buried if Josef buries those shots but hung in and eventually flipped it. But get back to me in November. The road to the Cup goes through LA.

And that goal from the Union’s leading scorer Kasper was amazing. There’s not a goalie in the world that could have stopped that laser golazo:D

I see where Alli played 30 min this week. Hopefully he'll be back for a full game after the international break.

Sorry to hear about your job, been there also and hope you land another job soon. I had a similar situation last year where my job ended and then after a few months found a better job so you could wind up with something better.

Muppets - good quick pick-up of Sigurdsson.

As of today, Aviators only has 6 players that I drafted still on the team. (7 if you count the reacquisition of Alli.)
    Pick - Name - Team - Pos
    1-3 - Sterling - MCI - MID
    2-6 - Van Dijk - LIV - DEF
    4-6 - Fraser - BOU - MID
    8-6 - Pickford - EVE - GKP
    11-3 - Ryan - BHA - GKP
    15-3 - Pukki - NOR - FWD

Plus the reacquired Alli who was my Round 7-3 Pick

Who knew that my Round 15 pick would start off the season so hot!

Many of my moves were to try to avoid price drops and ride some early price gains. Through today, it's resulted in a 101.1 Squad valuation with 5.8 M in the Bank.

(As a comparison, my Open team is up to a 102.3 Valuation)

I may have taken off last year, but I seem to recall, it's a benefit to have a higher valuation, especially during the January transfer window to be able to pick up some new high priced talent, or be able to afford some cast off high priced talent..

Update changes from Sep 16 - Sep 28

Reflecting the transfer out of Ryan and acquisition of Patricio:

As of today, Aviators only has 5 players that I drafted still on the team. (6 if you count the reacquisition of Alli.)
    Pick - Name - Team - Pos
    1-3 - Sterling - MCI - MID
    2-6 - Van Dijk - LIV - DEF
    4-6 - Fraser - BOU - MID
    8-6 - Pickford - EVE - GKP
    15-3 - Pukki - NOR - FWD

Plus the reacquired Alli who was my Round 7-3 Pick

Who knew that my Round 15 pick would start off the season so hot, but cooled as of late!

Many of my moves were to try to avoid price drops and ride some early price gains. Through today, it's resulted in a 101.3 Squad valuation with 5.8 M in the Bank.

(As a comparison, my Open team is up to a 102.6 Valuation)

Here are the other Sand Teams total valuations and current Bank balances (In the order of the draft):

BunchOfMuppets: 99.4, including .6 in the bank
Tips' Terriers: 98.8, including 2.0 in the bank
Aviators: 101.3, including 5.8 in the bank
Locomotiv Lewisham: 99.8, including 1.3 in the bank
Morning Glory: 99.8, including 7.0 in the bank
Stormin Gunners: 99.0, including 3.9 in the bank
Kicking & Screaming: 100.0, including .2 in the bank
blechs dawgs: 99.1, including .9 in the bank

I may have taken off last year, but I seem to recall, it's a benefit to have a higher valuation, especially during the January transfer window to be able to pick up some new high priced talent, or be able to afford some cast off high priced talent..

I know this is an EPL site but had to say that the Union playoff win today over the Red Bulls was one of the best games I’ve ever seen live in MLS. The weather was crap but that’s when the true fans come out anyway, one of the best and loudest stadiums in the country. Whichever LA team we play in the final will be tough, but it won’t be easy for them since philly will fight to the end:thumbsup:
