Big St. Pauli derby tomorrow (today in Europe...) Wood not in the projected lineups I've seen. For some reason HSV's Spain account is the most active - doing a complete Spanish translation of Baywatch's presser. I'm not interested enough to translate as there's no mention of Wood, but twitter will do it for you if you click through... 1173177165715845120 is not a valid tweet id
To be clear - not in the starting 11 that have been posted. I haven't seen anything with the bench. I'd expect him to be on it. Of course, since it's a bad-blood derby there are riot police on the Reeperbahn. This would be a good game for Bobby to come in late and score a winner... or at least score... (tbf, any game would be a good game for Bobby to score, but one goal v. St. Pauli will give him some breathing room with the fans at least!)
Haven't seen an official line-up yet, but here's an English language preview of the 102 Hamburg derby. https://www.hsv.de/en/news/meldunge...-vs-hsv/hsv-gears-up-for-102nd-hamburg-derby/
Soccer 6 team news: Hamburg's Jan Gyamerah pulled a thigh muscle and could have played his last football of the year. Khaled Narey will likely drop back into defence for tonight's derby v St Pauli. Attacker Martin Harnik has joined on loan from Bremen and could debut tonight.— Soccer 6 (@soccer6za) September 16, 2019

most sincere apologies for the non-english... but basically, it's the line-up. More inclusive.)
I'll keep half an eye on this (I always like riots where a soccer game might break out.) If Wood sees any PT I might do a bit of PBP... should be short if it happens anyway.
Both St. Pauli's Südkurve and #HSV's away end start the second half of the Hamburg derby with heavy pyro shows.Via @abendblatt_hsv https://t.co/zX5ajljDJw— Felix Tamsut (@ftamsut) September 16, 2019
I wonder what it is like to sit/stand in the middle of such pyro shows. I don't think I will enjoy it. Any BS posters care to share such an experience? Thanks.
BTW, HSV is up 2-0 well into the 2nd half. Saw one sub (Hunt) at HT. But haven't really been paying much attention. Pretty sure a win puts them in 1st. It will be pretty funny if Wood rides this team right back up...
In the Fall of 2010 while visiting Italy I popped over to Croatia and had the fortunate chance to see the Eternal Derby between Hajduk Spilt and Dinamo Zagreb at Dinamo's home stadium. To put it mildly..... it was an absolutely shit show. Riot police inside and outside the stadium. The stadium lights went out for a few minutes before the kickoff which had me all sorts of confused and nervous. Flares ignited in every corner of the stadium from both ultra groups. Fireworks whizzing from one side of the pitch to other. Smoke almost completely filled the south stand. I wasn't in the Dinamo ultras section but their antics spilled over to the rest of the stadium. It was difficult to watch the game. I spent probably 75 minutes people watching and keeping my head on a swivel. Play was stopped for 10-15 minutes at the start of the second half to clear the flares tossed on the pitch. I don't know if I was scared but you certainly could feel the tension. it was unreal. A very cool and rare experience. I also wouldn't say I enjoyed it but it was an experience never forgotten.
Ha. guess I really wasn't paying attention. That won't go over well - only needed the tie. Not terrible for Wood though.
Bobby must be really in the dumps if they don't bring him in down 2-0, with 30 minutes left, and against a team they're expected to beat, or at least tie away (this is St. Pauli's second win in six games so far this season).
TBF St. P have had a decent last couple of games. Not sure about the HT change. Injury or tactics? Probably cut into Bobby's chances.
Came on late in a 4-0 win: 81' ⏱️ Lukas Hinterseer is replaced by Bobby Wood for the last ten minutes 🇺🇸____#HSVAUE 4-0#nurderHSV— HSV English (@HSV_English) September 22, 2019
