McKennie is not particularly good on the ball. He has a great engine and hop.

Friesland said it better than I did. Second most technically skilled let’s say. I don’t think that’s very controversial either.

ETH stated after the match that Dest and Neres were both on the bench because of the long distance they traveled for NT duty. It's likely that Dest gets the start on Tuesday against Lille with Veltman moving back to CB.

  9. Mmm. Softies obviously not suited for the mls, with each match that travel to do;)

  10. No Dest, but interesting to see how the others were rated for that match:
    Ajax - Heerenveen 4-1
    Ajax: Onana 6,5; Veltman 5, Schuurs 6, Blind 6, Tagliafico 8; Alvarez 6,5 (80. Marin), Martínez 7; Ziyech 7,5, Promes 7 (83. S. De Jong), Tadic 7 (63. Neres); Huntelaar 6,5.
    Heerenveen: Hahn 6; Floranus 5, Dresevic 6, Botman 6,5, Woudenberg 5,5; Kongolo 6, Faik 6,5, Veerman 7 (84. Bruijn -); Van Bergen 7, Odgaard 6,5 (65. Halilovic -), Ejuke 6,5 (65. Dreyer -).
    Scheidsrechter Lindhout: 6

Another interesting thing is that the defense of SC Heerenveen didnot get good ratings.Despite that fact former Ajax "star" defender van Rijn didnot make it off the bench.

The reason Heerenveen's defense did not get good ratings is that they sucked.

When Pierie can't make Ajax 1 but was a lock starter for 'Veen even out of position, it tells you something. van Rijn has been on the bench for Heerenveen quite a bit. He is Dest's cautionary tale: Ajax starter for 3 seasons or so. Tons of Oranje U's caps, Oranje sr. starter for one year or so... but just 3 or 4 years later, riding the bench at a mid-table (on their better days) club

So do I. They would say I am too kind.

  14. We just became European Champs for the third time in a row and 23d time in total by beating Italy 5-1 in the final.

Wonder how we would fare with all our top players in a match against the American stars.

Fairly important game for Dest. The Vletman-Schuur left side was ok v. Heerenveen, and Tagliafico was on fire, so depending on how Dest-Vletman looks, 10H has some options, even without Maz.

Not just van Rhijn but also van der Wiel (starter for Dutch in 2010 WC at RB) and Tete, van Rhijn's replacement at Ajax and Dutch NT player did not have stellar careers after leaving Ajax.
