I will add to that if we finally get going without the embarrassing roller-coaster drops in performance at playoffs, we can win this trophy. We can still win this trophy!
I don’t have a lot of faith in us to make it to the playoffs. We have some really good players and also some howlers. I would prefer we find Bryan Jordan and put him at LB than what we have right now. But if you do manage to pull it off I think we could still be in this. Pavon just got here and he is barely warming up. Ibra can turn it on and go full goal machine. JDS is a rock. Come on G’s we have been waiting to warm up. Let’s get hot now and make a run!
Bryan Jordan? LOL, please! Oh, and perhaps we can also find Garcia and put him in at CM!!! The opposition won't know what hit them!
In all candor I believe we have enough players to make a go of it as-is. I know some players have their issues but I dont think we are hobbled at any one position and we've seen when we fire on all cylinders how well we can play. Right now its about that. The leadership, the chemistry, the coaching... NOW IS THE TIME! If these guys were waiting for the right time to get their minds wrapped around the job.
We’ve reached the put up or shut up stage of the season. And despite the poor run of form these past 7 games, we still to a great degree control our own destiny. Only one of our final 6 opponents is a playoff team and if we somehow win out we would finish no worse than 3rd in the west and more likely 2nd. But we gotta start by beating Colorado tomorrow....
Lletget and dos Santos both went the full 90 tonight. So we won't see them tomorrow in Colorado... Antuna did not play so he might be able to start for us...
Darn! Polenta is also suspended this game from yellow card accumulation. Gonzalez, Feltscher and F Alvarez are all one yellow card away from a suspension.
That sucks. With the exception of the LAFC games the final third of the season has not started out well for us and we need to turn it around. But now our next task is to steal a road win while missing two of our top three players -- Polenta and JDS. And losing Lletget doesn't help either.
Ibra Pavon FAlverez Antuna Kitchen Corona Shleveafdf Gonzalez Steres Feltscher Bingham This is probably our starting 11? This should still get a result
As always we get to face teams after they have turned their crappy seasons around. ATL solved their tactical disaster a couple weeks before we got to play them and COL is on a new coach high. For COL “two” is the relevant number leading into this game. COL has scored 2 goals in each of its last 4 games, going 2-1-1. New coach Robin Fraser is starting with a bang, going 2-0-0 with an impressive 2-0 win @NYRB followed by a 2-0 victory vs a heavily rotated SEA team (missing 5 starters). And now we have “two” win this game.
Not having Jona at all is not good. I hope he can play second half a few minutes if he is there. It may be time to circle the buses for this one and hope for a counter to take this game 1-0. Winning ugly is still winning. They do not have Kei Kamara as he is suspended. Guillermo has to put his thinking cap on for this one.
We can beat Crapids. They are riding that artificially-stimulated "new coach" wave, but Fraser is crappy coach and Rapids are crappy team, sooner or later their gotta choke, and it will happen tonight.
