UL is my second favorite all time boot, if they ever re-release I'm buying a dozen pair.

Considering I just got a pair of the new black colorway I don't have any qualms with buying a silver pair of boots. I'm pretty sure this will be the first "metallic" pair of boots I've owned since the Vapor III in Zinc which I still think is probably the best looking boot of all time.

I looking to get a pair of TF shoes from Mizuno to use on artificial grass, since I've been going back and forth between different AG boots, but can't quite find a good fit.

Lately I've worn the Neo II's on natural grass, but I also love the regular Morelia.
What should I look into, and what should I avoid?

Are you sure that there will be a blackout and that photo isn't just to show the mesh part and how thin it is? Looks to me that it COULD be the same first colorway just with some playing with the lighting.

I'm playing in Monarcida on AG. Its much better than Morelia turfmaster soleplate in terms of stud pressure and traction. Monarcida seems to have thinner shorter studs. Its probably the same soleplate as Neo.

Looking for a rotation pair I just got the latest Rebulas in the AG soleplate. I will give them a run out this weekend and let you know how it goes.

I for one dont like traditional TF on AG. Constantly slipping and losing my footing when cutting changing direction. Plus those TF always feel super heavy.

Had to go down to London for work today so made an effort to pop over to PDS store off Carnaby Street to have a look at the Rebula and try things on as it's been a while since I had a pair of Mizunos.

They feel fantastic but the fit of the trusty old Morelia was more comfortable for me. Rebula just fit a bit too tight across the midfoot in comparison and had to have the laces noticably wider to accommodate my foot which felt a bit odd with the semi-fixed tongue. So my mind was made up on going for the Morelia, would have to wait for payday though unfortunately, and that Blue/Gold colourway look absolutely beautiful in the flesh. However, just had a look online and PDS apparently sold out of the Morelia in UK8, not sure if they could ship out from the high street store to accommodate my order, and 11teamsports price have gone back up making them significantly more expensive.

Now I'm not sure what to do, might just have to settle for an older colour of the Morelia's to be more affordable.

Do MIJ boots run larger than the MII ones?

I went to a shop in Sydney today and tried on some various boots. The MIJ Rebula 3's in the same size as the Elites I had issues with seemed to have more space at the toes. They had a funny fit to them, didn't really like it and when I flexed my foot like pushing off I found they creased in the same as the Elites did, although being all leather they will soften up.

BTW, big shout out to Lovell Soccer in UK. They took my Rebula 3 Elites back and gave me a refund even though they couldn't find anything wrong with them. A real shame they can't get MIJ Mizunos, I won't buy from ProDirect as they are thieves - they don't take the VAT off, saying they have to pay the Australian 10% GST but don't give us the remaining 10% and pocket it for themselves.

I also tried the new Morelia Neo Betas. The leather on them is awesome but they have less padding in the heel area, similar to the MII Neos, which is one thing I like in the MIJ Neos over the MII ones. Overall they felt OK but not as comfy as the MIJ Neos. Again, there was more toe space in them than I would have expected. I have MII Neos in US 8.5 and can only wear them with super thin socks or my feet get numb after half an hour. A US9 MIJ Neo with match socks felt a little too long.

Comparing the MIJ Neos with my MII Neos, the difference seems to be the padding in the heel, softer leather when new and they have what looks like some sort of glass fibre sole plate at the forefoot between the outsole and insole, making them feel stiffer. My MII Neos have leather which is now softer than the new MIJ Neos (and plenty soft, any softer and it would fall apart) and the synthetic mid foot area is also super soft. The MIJ Neos were comfy but actually felt pretty much the same as my MII Neos apart from the heel, hard to justify paying more than twice as much just to get a bit more padding in the heel area.

In my experience the MIJ boots actually run about a half size smaller than the MII boots, but that's exclusively concerning the Neos. I'm sure other models will size differently of course.

I was really excited to get my Neo Beta's, now I'm really excited to get my money back.

Pics from an hour of me wearing them around the house and then two hours of playing on natural grass.

Yes, I used paper towels to try and create contrast for the pictures.

Personally I normally can go down half a size with MiJ Mizunos.

I suppose its to do with how different they fit for different people.
Yeah I'd like to know why you're returning them too...

I realize now looking back at the pictures, which are pretty terrible, it’s hard to tell.

There are cracks throughout the soleplate and in the studs including a couple spots I could stick a fingernail into. I actually heard an audible crack when I was playing, I though maybe I’d stepped on something or broken off a stud but in hindsight I think it was the heel counter breaking on the seam that runs through it because the boot didn’t feel right after that.

It’s 100% possible I got a defective pair or something like that, I don’t know. This is the first pair of Mizuno boots I’ve owned with any kind of issue.

    MRBA, unfortunately, it won't happen!

I'd asked Mizuno JP, apparently morelia II/M8 upper does not fit into the neo 2 soleplate.....but i wonder why......

maybe when i visit their factory one day, I'll ask them to try it out...ha ha ha!
