Any update on having some of our players return back after the mexico-usa game? Having lletget, Jona, and Antuna would be nice. Also isn't Alessandrini close to coming back? September was the month he'd be able to play last I heard.
Has anyone heard anything about Romain? Also thought he would've been training and close to coming back by now.
Hopefully, your correct about his recovery timeline. However, it's been my observation that the Galaxy's statements regarding player availability are more oriented towards maximizing ticket sales, then anything else.
back in training 👀...👀👀👀👀👀❗️Yup. That's Romain Alessandrini. pic.twitter.com/f10txCYIUQ— LA Galaxy (@LAGalaxy) September 5, 2019
Alessandrini as the first sub off the bench would be a great energy boost to our offense for these last few games...
It would. He's going to be rusty though. It seems he always needs a good handful of games to get going.
They said during the telecast tonight the US was releasing 6 players before the next game. Lletget was not on the list.
So given today's events we just dropped out of playoffs. Can this really be happening again and will Colorado under Fraser be one of the final nails on the coffin? It's what I'm thinking. SMH
So is it worse to miss the playoffs or to squeeze in and then go out one and done? Which is where I think we are heading.
-------------------Ibra--------------------- --Pavon-------F.Alvarez-------E.Alvarez-- ----------Kitchen-----Corona------------- --Skjelvik--Polenta----Steres---Araujo-- ------------------Bingham----------------- This is what I'd go. Pontius maybe for Alvarez on right wing, and hope Alessandrini makes the bench for a sub appearance.
I don't trust Efra for a game like this. I'd prefer to see Pontius. I'd rather have Romney on the field then Skelvik.
Given the last two seasons, just making the playoffs is needed to show some turnaround, some improvement. What's crazy is with our remaining schedule, it's not at all impossible for us to be hosting a playoff match in the first round. We really ought to win all our 3 home games. If we do that and can get 3 points out of 9 on the road. We're surely in top 4. Crazy tight standings.
GBS says Antuna & Rolf will fly to Colorado and could be available for #COLvLA. Giancarlo has already returned. Romain is scheduled to return to training in the next two weeks and could be available as soon as MTL, but team is playing safe.— Adam Serrano (@AdamSerrano) September 9, 2019 some new info
This game is huge. We need to win 4 of the remaining 6 if we even want a sniff at a home playoff game....
We have better players, deeper bench, better defense and supposedly, a better coach with new ideas. . . and Gioless. Given the coach and personnel changes this year, how we have played at peak performance during this season and that we have a guy like Pavon in the ranks I would say not only should we make the playoffs but we should be among the group that has home advantage. Last year this question was debatable but I do not feel this team has an excuse to NOT make the playoffs given how many teams get on the thing in each conference. For me, it would be more embarrassing and ridiculous to not even do that this year. And I thought this team choked out last year mind you, against Houston. We have all seen it time and time again this season. This team can play at a level that is at par with any current top team in the league. The matter still is CONSISTENCY and for that I look to my man Guillermo whenever Galaxy gets put over a barrel by the little teams in the league. Something that does happen consistently throughout this season. I understand parity but for the love of GOD! How can Colorado come in here without a coach and beat us? San Jose a collective... what was that 6-1 or 6-0? WTF? And no, I do not foresee one-and-out as you think or at least I do not have that same expectation although I understand where you're coming from on that.
