Record and O Jogo saying we have accepted Rennes' offer for Raphinha, rumoured to be between 20-22 million euros. The player is on his way to France already.

Now it's a question of whether anyone comes in. Is Plata going to be thrown in? Do we sign a new winger? Or does all this money go towards a striker?

Hell, I'd rather we pay big for a starting quality CB at this point.

I feel like the money is just to pay off debts. My guts telling me if we sign anyone itll be the SCP specialty buy any player still available regardless of cost cause we didnt think this far ahead, and then work five years to sell him.

I'd like to be surprised... but your probably right.

Honestly I'd rather get a new coach in.

According to Goal, Real madrid will announce the signing of Bruno Fernandes. And I don't think were getting any special deal where he stays with us.

By Madrid's standards, they have been less than spectacular so far in La Liga. So I'm positive Bruno is gone. Were F@@ked

It's not happening. No Spanish source is reporting anything about BF to Madrid.

Haven't seen it anywhere in Portuguese media, I think Bruno stays for another season... but anything can happen.

However here's the latest rumours on what is sure to be an active day for us.

    OUT:
    - Thierry Correia has been photographed in Spain ahead of a lightning quick move to Valencia. The move is rumoured to be a loan with obligatory option to buy (EDIT: Just read that the deal is possibly for 12 million + 3 million in bonus objectives)
    - Raphinha still in France and is expected to sign for Rennes for around 20 million
    - Diaby has been photographed arriving in Turkey ahead of a proposed move to Besiktas.

    IN:
    - Rumours that Brazilian winger Fernando is the pick to replace Raphinha on a loan move from Shakthar. No idea if there's an option to buy.

There's video of him arriving at the airport in Lisbon. Looks like it's happening...

I'm gonna reserve my judgement until the deadline passes. It can be an upgrade to help us get Champions League spot... or it's another Markovic or Joel Campbell.

About Thierry... it's a great deal if true. Nothing's been officially announced yet on any deals.

As a Madrid supporter I can say that Jese has been a huge disappointment thus far. But the talent is still there, just needs to have his head right. He played for Betis last season and was ok. Misses a lot of good chances and hopefully in Portugal he buries them. It's important for him to feel wanted and such, I'd imagine he would feel that at Sporting. His wages are insane though and I'm not sure how Sporting would afford them. I'm looking at this as a pure loan. Hopefully it works out and he can rejuvenate a stagnated career. Very similar to Vietto, a reclamation project. Really need him to have a the right attitude. Again, he is very talented and pre-injury he was one of Madrid's brightest young players.

Thanks for the analysis. I saw a few games (mainly when Betis faced the big teams in Spain). I think he's going to be playing in the middle, most people will say he's replacing Dost but I think he'd be that mobile forward we've been looking for.

Official: Thierry Correia joins Valencia for 12 million euros. Initially it was rumoured to be a loan with option to buy, but it's a transfer.

Valencia CF have reached an agreement with Sporting Clube de Portugal for the signing of Thierry Rendall Correia, who joins the club on a contract through to June 30th, 2024. The player's buyout clause has been set at 100m euros.

Edit - Sporting also confirmed the deal: https://www.sporting.pt/pt/noticias...nicado-sporting-clube-de-portugal-futebol-sad

Official: Fernando (20 year old Brazil winger from Shakthar) joins Sporting on loan. Nothing mentioned about an option to buy.

Also referring to Diaby, Sporting announced it's a loan with option to buy for 5M euros.

A lot of interesting stop gaps for sure, at least they're trying to bring in support for BF.

Nothing at all to help in the long term though. At the end of the season they all leave and so does BF and it's a rebuild again.

We've made some money, between Dost, Thierry and Raphinha its almost 40 mill. Take out the agent fees, probably 35 mill. And on paper the names rumoured to come in are better. But your right its a stop gap measure.

The sale the board and everyone else thought would happen never did - Bruno Fernandes. To me that's what caused all this, or we would have actually signed some players instead of loans.

It's really loanees like Fernando that I struggle with. No option to buy, proven nothing on a big stage, and a similar age to Plata and Camacho who we have actually invested in. I just dont get it.

It appears he renewed his contract with Shakhtar before joining us. I agree with you - if we're gonna do this why not keep Matheus Pereira and give him a chance
