I never understood why people say Peps brand of football means playing patient football. It's not patient at all. His team is always prodding and poking for lapses and holes in the opposition. It's a much more complex system than the Mickey mouse one LF employs.

LF is a shitty motivator. He's heralded for his team's coming back from losing positions. That is not a skill. That's luck. Title winners don't need to come back from losing positions. They just don't get there in the first place.

A lot has to change and a lot has to be said during the next couple of days.

There are no excuses any more. It will he very safe if Favre waste one the best squad and first 11 we have had since 2013.

This match proves why we will never win anything under Favre. How can we hope to compete when we are being bested by a club that has NEVER played in the first division.

I also never understood why the club was so obsessed with hiring Favre in the first place. Look at his resume and you'll find he's NEVER won a League title in a career spanning over twenty years. Making mid-table clubs punch above their weight is the only highlight. The local fanbase's hype around Favre baffles me as well.

I'm sorry, but I just can't trust a guy with zero League trophies, especially after pissing away a nine point lead last season.

Short Kicker commentary about the game:
    - There was nothing new about this loss and nothing has been learnt as it has become normal getting embarrassed by underdogs since the loss in Düsseldorf last season
    - The warning signals of the Cologne game were ignored
    - Questions about the team's mentality; Players lacking the will to do the hard work and instead believing they can only rely on individual quality
    - Reus saying that passion and the will has to come first before nice gameplay
    - Players hiding in safe zones away from the enemy danger zones
    - A coach that preaches patience, patience and more patience who risks putting his team to sleep (that one was for you, Eaglespark). Plus his attempt of the double 6 was criticized.
    - Zorc: If the players realize after the game that the other team wanted it more, then that is very worrying

I think it's obvious the management tried to add pieces to make the team very competitive with an emphasis on the short term. You don't necessarily have to be better than Bayern in the direct duel to win the league. You can still win it if you are better than them against the other 16 teams. If this will be another disappointing season with no solutions for the same problems seen again and again, it's hard to imagine there'll be a third season for Favre.

It's time to stop blaming the players. They can't randomly alternate between being good and crap. Adjusting to the opposition is on the coach. LF cannot do that. Zorc needs to recognize that and find a better coach.

Definitely not easy to find one with league trophies. On the other hand, neither Klopp or Nagelsmann had league trophies when they were engaged. Like there are talented players, there must be talented coaches as well. LF is anything else but talented. Bosh had a league trophy, but didn't succeed either (though he's succeeding with Leverkusen)
I said already 4-5 rounds before the end of last season to sack LF, new impulses can make wanders, and we might have won the league.
We paid 3M to release LF from his contract in Nice, now we'll have to pay more, but I believe it's worth it. Just don't bring another Stöger, please, rather somebody from lower divisions, someone young and ambitious, someone who plays attractive and effective football

Klopp didn't have any trophies to speak of when he was hired, sure, but the key difference is that he didn't have 20+ years of underachievement under his belt back then, and Nagelsmann is still in the early years of his career, giving him plenty of time.
