Looks a very dysfunctional side, isn’t that their third red in three games?

speaking of Oxford, current talk is that he might not be seen as a CB option but as a DM alternative. Reason I believe is that they want more experience at CB and got Jedvaj on loan and are heavily linked with Uduokhai on loan as well. Not sure if you guys prefer him at CB or DM.

and Penny who got loaned to St Pauli, started today's game, his debut and got 2 yellows=red in a 2-1 win.

After the last few years, I'd just like to see him play. Probably see him as a centre-back in the long run, but he has the skillset to play either role.

We got Trev Chalobah in the same boat. Maybe even Ben Wilmot.

It probably secures Godfrey-Kelly when fit to be the starting CBs for u21s to start the cycle but like in a few positions the 2000s are coming.

Stephy Mavididi on his way to Dijon apparently. Not sure if a permanent move or not.

Noni Madueke is travelling with PSV's first-team for their Europa League tie tomorrow. Incredible progression, only just made his Jong PSV debut.

Not good news regarding Bobby Duncan. His agent just realeased a statement saying that he's effectively being kept at Liverpool against his will & that his mental health is deteriorating as a result.

According to him Liverpool rejected two bids from Fiorentina.

Getting messy. Thing is, after what happened at City surely it was a bad move on Bobby and the agent's part to go to Liverpool in the first place. Not defending Liverpool but players need to be smarter.

At City now for example. Bought Rogers , Felix Correia with Knight/Braaff last year. Palmer, Fiorini , McAtee and the likes probably struggling to have any chance at City. So the test will be interesting ... how willing will Man City be to sell for a reasonable price come the time or will there be contract battles between club and player.

Hasn't signed his pro at Arsenal if I am not mistaken and would have been offered a while ago already. Obviously with so much attacking talent at Arsenal , this one looks 99% certain he will leave for me. He was originally linked to European clubs when it became apparent he wasn't going to stay at Sunderland.

Struggling to have much sympathy for him, he only moved a year ago. Throwing his toys out the pram over not being paid enough and lack of opportunities, well he wants to look at his agent if that's the case.

The move itself was utterly bizarre - damaged his own development by training alone for a year to force through a move to a club where he would scarcely get any more chances and was clearly going to be behind Brewster. Now somehow seems surprised by that.

Getting a bit tired of all this, lots of kids playing roulette with their careers because of agents dangling a big potential pay cheque in front of them and then hawking them around the continent. They need to focus on establishing themselves as senior footballers first before messing around with that stuff. Maybe all think they are going to be the next Jaden Sancho but he is more a freak occurrence, more likely to end up like Chris Willock wasting away in Benfica reserves and going backwards from where he had been in England. I suppose in your late teens just easily led astray. Nothing against players trying their luck abroad but going off somewhere like Italy that is going to be so alien to what they are used to is very dicey and doesn't seem to be for their long term wellbeing. Do you think Joe Willock would be progressing so well now if played the same dangerous game as his brother or Mcguane though perhaps they were just trying to escape the bullying culture at Arsenal sadly

I would suggest that Joe Willocks emergence at Arsenal is far more of a freak occurrence than Sancho's at Dortmund. If you go to a club that needs you then you're going to play and going to develop as long as you have the correct attitude and work ethic. McGuane's career stalled in Spain for the same reason careers stall in big Premier League clubs - because the manager doesn't need them (or thinks he doesn't). I don't think McGuane would have been better served staying at Arsenal than going to a mid-table Bundesliga club, for example.

    This is a bonkers post.

How can most of these players 'establish themselves as senior players' at the big clubs? Chris Willock has played 60 senior games, that's not too shabby. McGuane has played 30 and will probably find another move for more in the next week. You point to Joe Willock as if he's the norm as opposed to the big exception. I'm sure Ben Sheaf wished he'd left Arsenal two years ago.

Not sure Sheaf was ever that highly rated anyway. I don't see how it can be argued its a good thing for the top rated England players in their age groups to be playing reserve team football in the second tier of the Portuguese league, which is a very low level of football, or sitting on the bench for Barcelona B in the Spanish lower leagues. You can't help but think their career would have advanced more being on loan in the championship like Conor Gallagher for instance. Aside from the glamour of the moves is this really what they set out to aim for in the choice to move there? In terms of being closer to the England team and fulfilling their potential they have only gone backwards and its hard to imagine seeing either in the England under-21 squad coming up, whereas they were stand out players at under-17 to under-19 level. Just feel they have made it harder for themselves making that jump prematurely.

Gallagher’s Championship loan is an exception that has started off brilliantly.

The vast majority aren’t anything like his.

Plus they've also got Badiashile who's mainly been ahead of him while he's been there.

Still, you'd have thought if loan was the route they were going for he'd be capable of a somewhat higher standard than a relegation battling Belgian side. Mind you, Monaco seem to have turned into an absolute basket case club and there doesn't seem to be much joined up thinking about their decision making right now.

Agree with the basket case and got to be honest first team professional football is still better than him being on the bench or destroyed by disasterous management

Who is it that you believe is saying that players should move abroad to play in the lower leagues of Spain or Portugal? And why is playing in the English lower leagues much better? It's not like successful Championship loans regularly result in Premier League minutes. More often than not returning loanees become squad players at best, or else just sold/loaned back out.
