With the Members Cup starting in a week I think it’s time to bring back the attendance thread. Mainly out of my own morbid curiosity. Not expecting the greatest attendance numbers for either league, but I guess we’ll see. Members Cup begins 8/10 while NISA begins 8/31.
I think it will be an accomplishment if numbers are even posted anywhere. NISA and the teams seem to have a hard time getting any info out to the public. I don't think we will see lineups or any kind of game info.
Not anymore. Miami was going to do both, but backed out of the Members Cup to start play in NISA this fall. Although rumor is Chattanooga and Detroit might join NISA in the spring.
Conisidering Detriot and Chattanooga are already scheduled for NISA friendlies in the Fall I bet the answer is they will be NISA not NPSL by 2020.
i have never been to chattanooga, but does everyone sit on the side of the camera. I watched some on youtube and it looked like an empty stadium
Milwaukee had just under 1,000 show up in last weeks game. Couldn’t find an exact number unfortunately. I’ve also updated last weeks Chattanooga number. For tonight Detroit had an impressive 6,752 show up. Still looking for the Cosmos number.
So far this is the only reference I can find for the Napa Valley game. I herd 350 people was in attendance for the match tonight.— gary t (@cornnutsgary) August 25, 2019
They usually announce and there is a guy on Twitter who tracks them. CFC Merchandise Stand or something.
The game in Oakland will be a sellout. Family, thank you for the love. Tomorrow is a sell-out, and online sales have come to an end. Final tickets for Saturday's inaugural game will be available at the FREE E10 Block Party beginning 3PM tomorrow. Please come out and join the celebrations. #OaklandFirstAlways— Oakland Roots (@oaklandrootssc) August 30, 2019
I herd 350 people was in attendance for the match tonight.— gary t (@cornnutsgary) August 25, 2019 FWIW, this story on the NPSL site pegs Napa's opener at "just under 1,000."
Not the first time they’ve done that. Looks like they don’t want people to know the exact number if it’s under 1,000.
Was told on Reddit that a sell out is 3,500 in Oakland. That’s all I got to go on. Still looking for the NPSL numbers.
No word I can find on Milwauke or the Cosmos from last night. But in other news, "Milwaukee's only outdoor professional soccer team*" has 13 players living under one roof. *Second NPSLMC club I have seen refer to themselves as professional. I figure the Cosmos do, but have not explicitly seen the others yet.
