Yeah I'd file the fit of the Copa 19+ under "interesting"

I have a really wide forefoot, and high skinny arches, so it seems like they made it for me. They're sort of weird in that when I put them on and think about how they feel, they do feel odd, but when I start playing I don't think about them at all. They're just tight in places other boots aren't, which isn't really a criticism, just an observation. My SF360's/Vapors for instance get some midfoot wrinkles near the arch, whereas the Copas are SUCTIONED to my arch. I mean, I can see how someone else would hate them, but I love the weirdness.

That's awesome that they fit for you. I like them too. I definitely want to give them a shot, leather and lace less nails it pretty good for me.

I just picked up a pair of the launch color x18.1 for $90 through soccer.com and just from wearing them around the house and I am impressed how much better they fit and feel then the Predator 18.1 I have. I plan on going to test them out here in a bit to see how they feel when kicking around but I’m pretty optimistic based on the pliablity of the upper. They are snug but more accommodating than the predators if that makes sense. The preds always pinched and hurt the outside of my foot from the base through the 3 stripes. So far I don’t see that happening with these since the upper is thin and doesn’t have any unnecessary reinforcements that ruins the natural feel. The only negative so far is getting them on which is a bit of a challenge, but once they are on they feel so nice. May be a boot that lures me away from my tiempo, which I had a close I feel like I had a close injury call with on AG. I feel these studs aren’t quite as agressive. Anyone have any positive or negative experience with the X 18.1?

Haven't tried the X but definitely agree with you on the Predator. My foot felt like it was getting crushed even going half size up

I’ve gone to kick around a couple of times now for about a total of 3 hours and the X 18.1 has been great to wear. The fit is very comfortable and more accommodating then I could have anticipated. The sole plate and stud pattern has felt great in AG, I actually like it better than the Futures; the frame/plate just feels more solid and stable under foot which was something I like about the Tiempo with out too much extra bite. The upper is thin and soft with just a hint of padding. Shooting with the boot is nothing too special as far as the feeling and sensation but that could be me not being used to a thinner upper as I have been wearing the legends for the past year. My biggest gripe is just getting the shoe on as it really takes some work with my foot. Needless to say I’m pleasantly surprised so far especially since most “speed” boots are very narrow and kill my feet.

I just got an (seemingly authentic) AG pair off eBay and almost tore a muscle getting them on. Feel great though once they’re actually on.

Yup, I feel like I almost pulled a muscle trying to get them on. I may do a quick stretch/warm up before putting them on lol. It’s one of those things that I love the feel of the boot when it’s on and the “collar” area is barely noticeable, but getting it on would make me or someone watching me struggle that I was about to put my foot into a vice.

Had the same problem with nearly all my 1 piece upper boots that don't have a collar or extension pieces that give me a good grip and allow me to properly pull them open.

Ended up nearly destroying the heel cup in my nemeziz 18.1 before i gave up and decided to use a shoe horn for all one piece upper boots.

Why didn't I try to x18.1 before nowwwwww??? They're so good. The final iteration of f50s really hurt my arch, i skipped the first Chaos phase, the pure(chaos)speeds always felt a little sloppy to me... but the x18.1s are like, my perfect synthetic boot.

Heel is amazing, lockdown is amazing, touch is exactly what I like (right between grippy and slippy), the faux suede lining keeps your foot right where you left it. I think the upper is really interesting as well, because with, say a Vapor, my go-to for the last year, the knit is pretty consistently thick throughout... eventually it molds to your foot, but they need a few wears to be comfortable in my experience. However, the x18.1 has built-in pliability with how the upper is woven. The little holes, which I thought were purely aesthetic from pictures, are actually the knit being pulled apart in a chain link fence shape, which makes that area much thinner and more flexible. I genuinely just bought them as a more waterproof alternative to the new Copas, but they're definitely gonna be fighting it out for game time this year.

What is the difference between a Nemesis 18 to Nemesis 17?
Looking to a pair in the form of 1X.1 model by not sure which generation to get.

Also are Nemesis FG safe to play on AG grounds? Adidas doesn't put out AG models on the top models of Nemesis.

I'd say get a pair of the Messi variant that come with his specific gambatrax soleplate. those tend to be less aggressive and 'safer' on AG imho.

I want to try these but this is my fear. I don't think I'd be able to get my foot in them. I wanted the black/red/white pair as they've been reduced but they only ever seem to have smaller sizes in stock and I think i might have to go a bit bigger to get my foot in them.

How do they run size wise?

I’d say they are true to size, especially for adidas. They have more volume in the forefoot and toe box than the predators do. Nice and snug in the heel and ankle. After a few times of putting them on they get easier. The trick is to angle your foot in then twist. I think if it like spinning the boot from the movie “Beerfest”...

Hahaha unfortunately that was the best analogy I could think of for how I get my foot in the boot...

    Quietly released this Sunday morning...
I was kind of disappointed that it's over the 99 gram mark until thought about the name, X 99.1 and realized that as a 99.1 it's a first level take down. I guess if you want to get below 99 grams you'll have hope for an elite level release.

Pretty cool looking IMO. The holes remind me a bit of classic cycling shoes. I still think the yellow 2015 version are the best looking of the series, but I don't think those were ever manufactured for purchase.
