from the coloradoan.com: Rising Stanford, U.S. women's soccer star Sophia Smith healthy, motivated after devastating injury
2019 schedule has been released. 2019 roster w/o the frosh has also been posted. The squad just got a lot younger. Unsolicited advice to the frosh: Never get the #8 jersey, unless an undistinguished playing career is what is desired. Bad luck jersey for the last 20 years, way way even before Ratcliffe's tenure. Even going back to Foudy's time.
If they are playing at Penn State, they will be in University Park, not College Station. I think College Station is where Texas A&M is located. State College is the town surrounding University Park.
Does anyone know how Kennedy Wesley is? She tore her ACL about a year I believe but haven’t heard anything about progress. With that in mind, how are the Cardinal shaping up with the huge loss in the back and with out Davidson this year?
Went to see them play today. They didn’t wear numbers so I couldn’t tell who some of the new faces were, but they sure looked sharp today. Basically played two sets on 11 players in each 30 minutes. Macario and Kuhlmann looked like different players from last year. Looked incredibly fit and Missouri could not contain either of them. Kuhlmann went down late in the game and did not look good. I hope she is okay. I’ve always felt Macario was special, but she was scary good today. Out of new players that I could tell, Wesley and Stahl were very good. I think they will fight for good minutes this year. It’s unfair to base anything out of a scrimmage, but if Kuhlmann is okay, I think this group is better than last year’s team, mainly because the returners looked that much better
The huge loss I was referring to was the graduation of four year starters Alana Cook and Tegan McGrady.
Based on their performance yesterdays 7-0 drubbing of Missouri (I stopped in for a peek) They dont seem to have skipped a beat. That 7-0 could have easily been 10 as they hit woodwork multiple times as well

Game 1: Penn State 1-2 Stanford Macario's 1st goal Macario's game-winner Stats from Chris Henderson show Stanford domination Game 2: West Virginia 1-3 Stanford Next game at home against Penn. KO Fri 1900 PDT [Sat 0200 UTC]
West Virginia is picked to win the Big 12. This year's team is young but quite talented. It was over at halftime, score 3-0, shots 7-0. The Mountaineers scored off the opening kickoff in the second half and missed a penalty kick late, but other than that just couldn't do much against Stanford's defense.
If it wasn't for Macario's play in that PSU game, it would have ended in a tie. Her first goal was amazing; there are very few players who put that one away. She could be playing pro. She'll be the #1 pick in the NWSL draft, for sure.
