Diego Costa scores 4 against Madrid in the ICC. He'll be a fine replacement for Zlatan when the lion moves on.
Vela is so soft, he looks for contact everywhere and flops like a fish. The playoffs will be interesting, because I don't think he/LAFC get those calls based on MLS history. It's like the NBA, fouls are very different in the post season.
That’s about the biggest negative you can say about them. Of course in this league that is everything. Hopefully they don’t figure it out. Their fan base is amongst the worst in all of sports too.
NE is really starting to climb up those standings. Say what you will about Bruce, but he’s the GOAT. Only way NE loses in MLS Cup if they get there is if they play us
But he was our flopper I think Vela has a lot of talent, and I get why he looks for contact, I just don't enjoy watching it. As a spectator, it's disheartening to watch guys go down that easily. I don't think he gets those calls in the playoffs. Time will tell.
Bruce is always good for at least one of these per media access. 😂 #NERevs #LAFC #NEvLAFC pic.twitter.com/m8LZGXctLl— Jeff Lemieux (@jeff_lemieux) July 30, 2019 Hahah Bruce is back baby
Happy for the kid. I'll be happier when kids don't feel like they have to jump ship to make these kinds of moves, but ultimately their careers should come first.
Ajax is probably a better fit for him but he wasn't even at Freiburg 6 months. He's not going to be able to pick up and leave everytime things don't work out. He will start off with Ajax second team but could join Dest soon if things workout
Looking like the whole Frieburg pit stop was a way to save Ajax some money at the Galaxy's expense, as they are known for signing players to amateur contracts and flipping them cheap. Maybe Ajax don't sign Mendez if he's on a more expensive 1st team contract with LA -- but, and I said this elsewhere, you have to wonder if that's in the best interest of the player long-term. Ajax wanted the player before he went to Frieburg.
Also Ajax probably feel more confident paying him And yes, the big news among U.S. youth players is that 2019 U.S. U-20 World Cup midfielder Alex Mendez has signed for Ajax - which will have to pay him a high EU minimum salary per Eredivisie requirements. https://t.co/9Z62RxfRXV— Brian Sciaretta (@BrianSciaretta) July 30, 2019
I gave up being high and mighty about other teams a long time ago. We all have our floppers, hackers and prima donnas. When you've cheered for Roy Keane, it's kinda hard to get sanctimonious about opposing players.

So Rooney is off to Derby and Derby continues their sketchy ways to circumvent financial fairplay! Rumors of Ozil coming to replace Rooney. That would be an immense signing, but I don't see Ozil working in this league.
Its nice of DC to help Rooney and family get home and be comfortable BUT why couldn't Derby help with a some transfer fee???
Cracking games and goals around the league last night. Pretty decent results from a galaxy perspective as well (not perfect but ok). Mls has come sooooo far in the quality of its matches and players.
Sea-NE Dallas-MIN Portland-Vancouver Columbus-Cincinnati All great games with some great goals. (Some mediocre goaltending and finishing too) I recommend using the mls app and watching the condensed games.
Thx! Wish I had watched these last night instead of playing in a local ridiculously high stakes poker game
