Yeah, he said he was the most hated man in Seattle and it was his goal to become the most hated man in Cincinnati, too.
They're seats that are immediately behind railing. So you probably have to adjust your head/ seating position a little when the play shifts... no worse than dealing with normal people sitting in front of you... except these 'obstructed' seats tend not to have anyone in front. regardless, I think it's an indication of this thing selling out shortly.
Any injury updates on Keita? FWIW, via the always reliable MLS site, as of 8/6: OUT: Valenzuela, Higuain, Francis, Josh Williams. Questionable: Clark, Jimenez.
On #Crew96 fullback/winger Hector Jimenez, Caleb Porter said today it was an MCL injury but was unsure of the severity. Jimenez will definitely be out this weekend against #FCCincy but no concrete timeline.— Patrick Murphy (@_Pat_Murphy) August 7, 2019 Porter said Waylon Francis is “coming a long” and that he did a little more today. #Crew96 are hopeful he will be in training soon.— Patrick Murphy (@_Pat_Murphy) August 7, 2019 Porter said center back Aboubacar Keita, who filled in at left back last week, is also close after picking up an injury against #Quakes74 as well. #Crew96 expects to have him back in “the next several days to a week."— Patrick Murphy (@_Pat_Murphy) August 7, 2019
All in all, shitty news. Jimenez could be out a while, IMHO. Keita played through whatever injury he picked up until the 76th minute, right? But "several days to a week" implies "not this weekend." Or at least not reliably so. I have to assume the club is practicing this week under the assumption that we'll be using some other "hey, have you ever played left back?"/defensive set-up. At least we knew this going into the week.
I commend his longevity. Really to many of you. I cannot think of another internet community that I have been a part of over a time period preceding modern social media that still exists. That I could take years off from being an active member to be able to come back and still have a genuine familiarity with the group. Most platforms, that once existed, do not exist. Something special about Bigsoccer. Hang is a part of that. I appreciate him for being a part of this group of Crew fans.
Well, at least it is against Cincy at home. On paper, the easiest game we have left. Options: 1. Maloney 2. Santos 3. Argudo 4. 3 back with Afful We cannot plat 3 CBs because without Keita, we only have 2 healthy CBs. Seriously. I favor Argudo or Maloney. Keep Santos up top until we get a lead. Get well soon to Josh, Waylon, Hector, and Bouba.
My guess Santos Crognale Mensah Afful Trapp Artur Accam Argudo Díaz Zardes Or Maloney or Afful try LB so the midfield is Argudo Santos Díaz
Just to be clear, these lyrics were a response to hang's now-deleted post. I am quite odd, but I am not that odd....
I have a friend who works at the AB plant in Columbus. I still won't drink the beer. What will happen is that you'll suddenly see Platform in grocery stores all over the country, but that beer won't be brewed by people in Cleveland. It will be brewed by automated systems in AB's regional production facilities. Meanwhile, AB will use it's overwhelming clout through its distributors to grab more shelf space in stores for its new acquisition, which means some independent brewers are going to get pushed out of the stores. Then, at some point down the road, when AB InBev's share price takes a tumble, you'll see a lot of these craft labels they've bought up go away through "brand consolidation."
Kinda like what happened to Celis back in the day.... I'll be honest--I'll drink AB products if they are free....
