they won 3-0, Lankford did not score and don't believe he assisted either. The 01 winger Loubongo scored the last goal though.

Lasted 62 min as they are currently down 3-2. Didn't score nor does it seem like he assisted either.

played 15 min in a 1-0 win. Goal happened before he came on so no involvement.

seems like his only preseason goal or assist was that 1 goal vs Buffalo ages ago in early preseason and that's it.

very unproductive this preseason. Also getting the impression that younger players than him are doing much better. And 2BL starts next weekend too.

Due to injuries to 2 strikers, Pauli currently only have 1 striker until they got today new striker in the Swedish Gyokeres.

This article was posted before the new arrival.
But the former Heidenheimer is still lacking in assertiveness despite great ambition, he still needs time, must gain more security on the ball.

and another one, looks like Lankford is in consideration to play CF.
Lankford: "I played in the front in preparation. I was striker last in the U12. But I am convinced that I can play in the center. The coach thinks so too. I accept the challenge."

and one of the younger players who was doing better than Lankford in preseason, started the match on his 2BL debut and scored in a 1-1 draw. Something Lankford after 35 2BL games has yet to do.

as for CFs, they had Gyokeres and a U19 striker on the bench.

wonder if he was just left out from the squad? So far no word about injury issues or not either.

MOPO stated that Lankford was left out for Gyokeres but the inclusion of Dursun from the U19 seems to indicated that he was left out for the U19 striker. Let's see if he makes the squad this weekend.

He didn't make the squad. But neither Conteh nor Buchtmann looked good at LW. Conteh either had a bad day, or thinks he is way better than he is. He kept leaving the ball behind.

Conteh wasn't too bad, he shows potential and is a raw player, even the coach sees him as a raw player. That was only his 2nd pro game and he has to gain experience.

neither those 2 are the issue for Lankford since he doesn't even make the bench to begin with and the coach left him out for 2 U19 players on Friday. What does that say about him? He's not the only one though there are like another 2-3 players who are being left out from the squad.

reality is that Lankford did not impress in preseason.
Today he played 90 in a 2-2 draw for Pauli II, no goals/assists.

He is definitely raw. If the club wants to win games, and they feel he is better thank Lankford for that purpose, then Lankford can't be doing well. If they have other goals, like developing players to sell on, then I can see Conteh playing minutes. I'll be interested to see Conteh's progress. To me he looked very brave, but it was so reckless I couldn't tell if there was real skill underneath.

Lankford on the bench in Cup. St Pauli have a few injuries which is why he even made the squad tbh.

St. Pauli win 4-3 on penalties (the game was tied 3-3 after 120 minutes) against Regionalliga side VfB Lübeck.

Lankford converted a penalty in the shoot out and picked up a yellow card.

During the 2018/2019 season he played 252 minutes in the 2. Bundesliga with Heidenheim (6 games, 3 starts). He picked up a yellow card. Lankford also scored a goal in a 20 minute substitute appearance in the German Cup.

After his midseason move to St. Pauli, he played 288 minutes in the 2. Bundesliga (5 games, 3 starts).

today he was in XI and played full game as Pauli lost 2-1 to Stuttgart. Did not score/assist, in fact it was Conteh who assisted the lone goal going by 2 players before the back cross.

not a great start to the season for Pauli. I hope they survive, the team is young and has potential.

he's full on bald now. Always found him to look way older than he is even though he's only 20 years old.

concerning the game vs Kiel, thought he was average. Interesting to note, that Conteh who scored the winning goal, 1st person he went to celebrate with was Lankford, even though he had no involvement in the goal. They had their own handshake and dance routine, lol, seem like friends.
