That Dynamo lineup is wildly optimistic. Mid-week game on turf sandwiched in between weekend games? Figure Garcia and Fuenmayor at the back, McNamara starting somewhere, Cabezas, etc.
It has always been a mystery to me how these lineups are predicted. One of these days I'll sit down and see what kind of accuracy they reflect.
in a normal soccer world, with normal fields, with normal managers. lineups are pretty predictable like they are in American football without algorithms. you play your best XI. in MLS world, with turf fields, and abnormal managers *cough, cough* it's a bit more difficult but still doable. just look at the pattern. i'm sure they punch a button and the machine spits it out. side note: Dom was the most predictable of them all. you could even nail the first and second sub (he rarely used his third) and even the minute range.
I vote that way every time, right after I create the poll mostly to make sure it works but also because I'm optimistic. I've been doing these threads since about 2012. My accuracy percentage would be low but I still believe.
Playing to try and steal a point but saving guys for Toronto. I could be wrong but this lineup doesn’t appear to be an effort to win
July 16th - Cabrera quoted in story saying the team needs to be more aggressive on the road. July 17th - Throw out 4-4-1-1 with Elis, Martinez+bench scrubs as offense. Toss out Ceren and K. Garcia (at fullback no less) for good measure. Where the hell is Duvall? I get he sucks, but there is zero chance he is worse than K. Garcia at fullback.
Our form of late is not so good and we can't even field 4 in the back tonight. I think is very realistic that you can steal a point or even 3.
Why is he changing the formation so drastically? We have a good attack that creates chances, we just don't finish well. And why is Quioto not starting, he has a hot streak going.
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results... or starting K. Garcia and expecting to win @ ATL
Listening on XM radio to the Atlanta broadcast and I can’t wait to see what Elis did - They thought it was a bit harsh. I’d like to know what the Dynamo announcers thought of it but that means I have to go find some stream that may or may not even be activated by the team rather than just actually listening on the radio to a real broadcast.
