Yep, though you have to wonder what his signing means for Ødegaard and Brahim.
Survival of the fittest I guess.

    It means nothing. Healthy competition.

Odegaard is further along and a midfielder not an attacker. Brahim is further along and needs to show he can grow.

I think the biggest challenge for a lot of these players is defining a position that best suites their abilities. I'm still questioning where Odegaard and Brahim will fit in on a modern tactical set up. Brahim did show a lot of good flashes on the left last year. I haven't seen enough of Odegaard to make any judgement on whether he'd be able to play out wide on a permanent basis for a club like Real Madrid.

Odegaard development is further back in midfield. He is wasted as a wide attacker or winger.

He has Iniesta type vibe. With more goal scoring capacity.

You're reaching Iscodisco and fierro levels of negativity.

Odegaard is none of our worries for the next two seasons. Who cares where and how he will potentially play by then.

He can come in 1 year. Many of us care. Why try and kill the conversation if you don't care?

Looks like Brahim won't get a chance to impress Zidane in the preseason. I wonder how this affects where he will be this coming season. Can you even loan out an injured player?

Poor kid, but I hope Zidane has seen enough of him at the end of last season. I recall Zidane being very positive about him. Still very, very unfortunate for the kid!

Damn, well I guess Brahim’s loss is Kubo and Rodrygo’s gain.

Tough news for Brahim, but did people really expect him to stay?

I'd say Hazard & Vinicius are our starters, and Asensio and Bale (as he's refusing to leave) are the backups. Rodrygo and Kubo are young enough to play in Castilla, so I'd say that leaves Brahim loaned and Vazquez sold?

This club hasn't shown any signs of planing spots over an eternity. If a superstar is available in his position and we can make it happen we'll pounce. Think Özil and Canales. We signed Canales and were super happy, Özil is available and it's sorry my guy, that's how it is.

Also i think Odegaard has no link to us and he's not much of a topic here. People drag van de Beek as a transfer target but Odegaard was lauded for good performances in the same space and time here.

You will literally spin anything to attack this Madrid... all because Zidane leads it. Smfh.

Btw, people are excited about Odegaard because he scored 8 and had 11 assists at 20. Which is damn fine considering Van De Beek is a couple years older and scored 9 with 10 assists.

Also the fact Odegaard has so much more to his game.

However don't let this facts impede you from shitting om another player not named Kroos or Bale.

This club works for the now, not the now in 3 years or so. Odegaard will need to go bananas to talk about a spot in a midfield as deep as ours. Especially considering that we're looking at adding more players to it.

Florentino Perez contradicted everything you said here when he spoke of Odegaard, Vinicius and Rodrygo.

Just because you've turned into fierro doesn't make his word or the club's mission to invest and develop any different.

And we need a deep squad to replace the injured players. We must get rid of players demanding to play 40 games a season. We need everyone to accept their roles, we need everyone tirando del carro.

I hope the guys remaining really learn from last season and how boring it is to lose the league in November.

Other than Carvajal and Casemiro both players in thankless positions without any star power, name a single player that came back from a loan del and established himself.

Despite all the future and investing in our guys tlk we spent 50 mil. on Mendy to replace a youth player.

You basically killed your own argument when you pointed out one example you wanted to veto because... well just because.

Then you again decided to veto the two another poster killed your argument with, then go back and edit your originally post to include one of the additions.

    Smh.

Seriously, go back to the old @4x4s

Wouldn’t surprise me if @4x4s low key roots against the team next season, I have a hard time seeing a scenario in which he doesn’t want Zidane out lol.
