He's been a pro for over a year now. You'd think he'd have figured it out by now. Meanwhile guys like Pomykal are taking off all over the league.

I don't know the terms of Jozy's current contract, but if he's getting $6.3M/year from Toronto, a 3-year deal in China for $8.3M is not really that much of a better deal. Sure, it's more money, but not everyone is going to thrive in such a totally different environment. Dunno his personal situation, but if his family isn't happy there, an extra couple mill isn't going to make a difference. Besides, Toronto is a pretty nice place to live, especially if you're making that kind of scratch!

I think this is the last year of his current deal. Rumblings I've heard are that TFC arent keen to re-up anywhere near his current aav

Kelyn Rowe is apparently surplus to requirements at SKC - didn't even make the bench in their last match against Vancouver. One imagines when Roger Espinoza is healthy again, Rowe will see still less PT. Gedion Zelalem started for them. This kid is only 22, but I feel like I've been reading about him for years. Does anyone recall how KC acquired him?

Even if I was a big critic of him here, I feel bad for Kelyn. He gets out of a bad situation here under Friedel then Arena comes along. It seems like he was happy at SKC so I wonder if he will be fine riding the bench there and fighting for spot minutes or if he would have that competitive urge to move on to get playing time. I can't see him starting for too many other MLS teams, including the revs.

I think Zelalem was via the reentry draft given he was with Arsenal, but I'm not sure.

I completely agree. I think he was hampered by having had suboptimal coaching, and would have been interested to see if Arena could have brought the best out in him. That said, I think he would have been competing for a spot with JA, Zahibo and Scotty, and its not at all clear how much he would be playing.

He also may have competed for some minutes on the wing as a defensive substitution.

That said, the trade made perfect sense going into the season because we needed a left back. Still could use more defensive depth (or starters), but Kellyn wasnt helping with that problem

It was just a regular signing; he wasn't subject to the allocation ranking.

He was hyped for so long but suffered some knee injuries and was never able to crack the Arsenal first team. After a couple of disappointing loan spells they decided to let him leave on a free.

I felt that Rowe's problem is that his is a rhythm player and it usually takes him a multiple game stretch to get in his groove. Most pro club situations won't provide that flexibility - the Revs were so lacking in talent, they were able to give him the extended time, where sometimes he did get on a good run, but other times he didn't (like most of last season).

Hartford opened its new stadium this past saturday. Sell out crowd and managed a 2-1 win. Still some work to do on it but its pretty nice and about 200 yards from the Thomas Hooker brewery who put out this gem

SKC can let him get into a rhythm in the USL and then bring him in immediately.
