I appreciate that will be the reason he's still there, but says something about their development if they give a 5 year deal at 21 (rumoured to be on £25-30k a week this season) and they can't get a fee for him, or him paid off well enough to move on when he is clearly miles away. He's not a player that has had a breakdown and gone off the boil, he has played every season and a significant amount of senior football. It hasn't allowed him the chance to naturally find his level and, potentially work himself back up to get back into contention - loan after loan just a terrible career path. I note Kieran Dowell has just signed for Derby today, he's doing the same. See also Matthew Pennington, Callum Connolly, Mason Holgate, Jonjoe Kenny and Ademola Lookman who are getting nowhere
I think Harvey Elliot would have been much better staying at Fulham. Not a chance he’ll get game time at Liverpool. So many young players not thinking about game time and development
A lot of pre-season games are on that Ron7 site. Loads of pop ups though and probably a virus magnet.
So, it looks the FA have ridden the storm that was over a month ago with Boothroyd given another pop at destroying another talented U21 group of players this coming cycle. Can’t wait for the inevitable cluster ******** for the next two years . Also looks like the FA will keep Simpson and Downing who also haven’t faired much better over the last two years. It’s good to see our FA being so proactive in trying to deal with failure and obviously seem to think they are the right guys to coach our underage teams It’s just a general all around when it comes to the FA.

Moving quickly to the 01-02 group which is quite talented (could have added Rogers). Maybe not the level of stars the 99-00 had but all round depth I think it is better and more players of top to elite potential. Obviously Adarabioyo needs to leave.
Not sure where Felix Nmecha is but apparently Rogers can't join the club officially until his 17th birthday, which is in like two weeks.
Watched the United game and I think Gomes caught the eye the most out of the young England lads. Greenwood was good again, hit the post but like in his Prem debut he could have had a few if his finishing was on point. Gomes and Greenwood are both really comfortable with the ball, it’s great to see young English players with that level of control and that are able to play those intricate moves round the box, they linked up well with Mata. Garner scored a lovely goal but only got about 8 minutes game time.
The Club are pleased to announce the signing of forward Martell Taylor-Crossdale following the expiry of his contract at @ChelseaFC! ✍️— Fulham Football Club (@FulhamFC) July 14, 2019
Interesting tweet from Darragh MacAnthony (Peterborough chairman in L1) Course. One prem giant one the other day suggested a player on loan for bargain loan price of £250 GRAND plus his wages and a nice hotel and assistant for the young man 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 https://t.co/vflr9CX8H0— Darragh MacAnthony (@DMAC102) July 15, 2019 They are a club that hasn't used the loan system a great deal and you can see why when these are the figures quoted. I can see why the clubs want a deal like this, because they need to ensure the player is being looked after, is wanted and isn't just going there as squad filler. There have been deals in place where there are penalty clauses in place for not playing which is equally unpopular. But these sort of deals are going to price players out of a move, especially when clubs are investing heavily in their own youth development, and most of these loans will be 'first loans' into the EFL which are always a lot riskier. There are only a handful of transfers above this as a fee, and that is when the club will own the player and potentially be able to profit on them. There is one club in the league, Bury, who look like they will be going out of business in the next few weeks. I have some sympathy, as a supporter of a side that has been in the second tier for a long time and focuses heavily on youth dev, as nothing more frustrating than loans where the players don't play. But this seems way OTT, and will stop players from developing, and also will see informal partnerships be put in place which is poor for the integrity of the EFL.
They've just signed a massively past-it George Boyd on God-knows what money though, so it's their loss.
He's a good senior player to have in the camp though, massively experienced and was a player that looked after himself and got a lot out of his career - so there are clearly other reasons why he may not be a bad signing.
Just imagine if Ravel can get anywhere near what we all thought he could have achieved. What an opportunity. Better late than never. ✍️ | Exciting forward player Ravel Morrison is the latest addition to Chris Wilder's Premier League squad.Following a trial period, the former Manchester United academy graduate has signed a one-year deal with an option for a longer stay with the Blades.#SUFC 🔴— Sheffield United (@SheffieldUnited) July 16, 2019
On the other hand, we've said that a few hundred times now. I can't bring myself to expect anything at all.
I expect Morrison will probably have an OK season with numerous flashes of genius, the fans will like him, but his off-field stuff will prove too much of a pain in the arse for the club to keep him around.
.@PaulPogba ➡️ @AWBissaka ➡️ Greenwood ⚽️You love to see it. And to see more, watch the second half live: https://t.co/4eQlLWEatJ pic.twitter.com/IEB8uLddid— Manchester United (@ManUtd) July 17, 2019
Couple of things on Spurs. I understand Marcus Edwards is currently training with Brentford with a view to earning himself a move there. Interesting. OGS on Greenwood: "He has a chance to start against Chelsea. I won’t say it is not a possibility. It is a good possibility if he keeps going as he does."— Simon Stone (@sistoney67) July 17, 2019
