It's been clear for at least several years now that Bundesliga clubs don't discriminate on national origin. The EPL seems to always have, though the new work permit requirements make it even more difficult there for non-EU citizens (and, post-Brexit, if it happens, EU citizens too). The EPL is, sadly, a lot of American fans' baseline.

ETA: the Shengen (sp?) treaty countries' players, too.

This guy, man he is the type of player every team needs. He gives the midfiled some bite and is unwilling to let anybody kick even Gyasi, hell if you kick Chris he might go full Jermaine Jones on yo azz.

Best players do not often make best leaders.

Pulisic is an excellent player in many respects, but I do very much wish he would come up with a different idea than trying to dribble the entire team whenever we really need a goal badly. It's simply not going to work. I know people say he doesn't want to pass to lesser players, but that's not how soccer works. You only have one best player and he needs to work with the rest of his teammates in order to produce goals, whether they are deemed worthy or not. And sure, maybe he plays a ball to a teammate who loses it but that's no worse than watching him dribble into 6 guys and lose it himself anyway.

I don't think Pulisic is out there refusing to pass to "lesser" players. It's probably more that when he is under pressure he relies on his best skill set (i.e. dribbling and speed) while his passing and vision abilities continue to develop.

May well be true. Honestly though I don't particularly care the reasons, I just hope that in time he develops a more well-rounded ability to attack. He can be a great player on an otherwise functional team just making slashing dribbling runs. But, we need more than that.

Hell he fed Arriola a bunch. Between those passes and his corners and free kicks if he was playing on a good team he'd have at least 2 assists to add.

Dribbling was electric in moments during multiple matches. Final ball still not good enough, not consistent enough.

He should be running circles around CONCACAF for awhile though. That alone will ensure he has a great impact.

People is taking this a little too far.

He's guilty of doing the exact same thing with Dortmund. He needs to learn to know exactly when to pass vs dribble. It's a growing pains he's going through right now, and hopefully he learns quick because the EPL/Chelsea is gonna give him a very short leash.

This got nothing to do with lesser quality teammates.

LMFAO. These clowns think they are important.

F****CK the media. Pulisic is damn pissed, 2 major losses in 2 tournaments. You think he give a damn about the media?

By pulling crap like that he'll only invite more pressure on himself.

No idea how accurate this is, but an interesting tidbit about Pulisic at Chelsea which could have ramifications regarding his US team position:

What's interesting here is neglecting to mention if and when he dribbles into 6 guys, that means multiple attackers should be running into wide open space.

But they often aren't. The movement from our other players off the attention Pulisic often draws borders on abhorrent.

Maybe(it's my opinion) Pulisic doesn't respect the media because the media in large part doesn't have a respect, appreciation, and understanding for the game in this country? The fed also has an unhealthy vice grip on how the sport is covered.

Marking Arriola effectively shut down Pulisic in the second half, basically stranding him in the middle and removing his most effective outlet. Smart recognition by El Tri.

Yet that outlet produced nothing. Arriola either waited too long or didn't see options once he got the ball. He makes solid runs if you ignore him though.

I mean, that explains a lot. I feel like I know the person. And I don't really trust their opinion.

There's no such things as soccer media/journalism in this country. Many guys do not respect them nor give them the time.
