    Real talk here,

Chile look old, tired and just not as good as us.

    We should win the game.

But of course they will fight to the very end and will do everything in their power to beat us. They do not want to give up their crown. We will have to take it from them.

    Let's do it.

James really loves a good long ball doesn't he? those are his favorite. Im hoping we see Medel and Jara play, Duvan would have fun with those guys. Maripan is decent though from what i've seen.

Yeah I think Duvan should wreck any of their CB's, we've seen glimpses of what James can serve up to Duvan, the little Chilean's will fight but we should be able to eat them up in the air when necessary. I can just picture Duvan/Mina/Davinson on set pieces giddy with excitement seeing James standing over the ball and looking at their defenders.

Also we should have a nice advantage with all the extra rest, our starters basically will have about a weeks rest after full rotation last game whereas most of Chile's starters will have played their most intense game 4 days prior and played 3 games in a short period of time. They rotated out a few guys but for a squad that is already old that should help us a decent amount, as well as considering we got our whole roster at least one game and that should help with rhythm.

Jara is not a starter any more.

He played vs. Uruguay as part of the tactical changes required, in order to give rest to some of our starters.

Anyhow, if he would have concentrated more in doing his job (which was to not give any space to Cavani), we wouldn't have lost.

On regards to Maripan, whom also is a good header at both ends of the pitch, his 1.93 m height helps a lot.

well lets see what happens before we got all excited.

also. they have a new CB that is pretty tall and a few others. so they are not so little anymore.

All I'll say is that for the 2019 Copa America semi's, no team that will host Copa America 2020, will be among them....

I hope Rueda starts Jara, would make me happy.

yeah we have a guy that is also a "good header at both ends of the pitch" His 1.95 height helps him a lot too.

we also have guys that are just good at heading the ball

In my case, I hope he doesn't use Jara at all.
Jara, has almost become into a walking blooper, where there will never be 2 matches in a row, without making a very big one (which most of the times, costs us the game). In the past, when he was a starter, his main importance was that he had good "touch" of the ball, and also was our fastest player (not now, as age already caught him). Fortunately, he is no longer a starter any more.

Most of our players are very good headers, where they compensate their lack of height, with great positioning and timing.

It will be fun to see when we do a high press against Chile if we will catch them off guard.
It would be nice to do to them what they have done to us for so many years. They may not know what to do with our players running straight at them.
Hopefully if we cause some turnovers with the pressure we can make them pay.

I rather we just keep the effective defending and counter attacking system that allowed us to best through Argentina. Chile is never afraid of going all out and they're just as wild as any flashy team can be. That can cost them and we need to take advantage.

    We can do both.
If you noticed against Argentina and Paraguay we were very selective on when we pressed and caused some turnovers. Should have scored when Armani did his blooper and should have done better when GC caused the Paraguayans to lose possession with his pressing.

Hopefully we score this time when we do get our chance.

******** I just realized that should we win against Chile as we're expecting, I have to keep my promise to god and NOT eat until we win the final on the 7th; got to eat all of my food in my home as that's a little over a week of me not touching anything but water.

I’ll take not hosting if it means being champ :)

Seriously tho if Colombia wins again in 2020 in a final in Barranquilla. How many days off will people in Barranquilla take to celebrate that?

It will be very interesting to see how Vidal and James play against each other.
They have been very chummy, chummy when Vidal was at Bayern Munich always seen laughing all the time and almost like the best of friends.
But we all know when the whistle blows they will be enemies for 90 minutes.
Just adds to the subplots their apparent friendship will have some strain.

In all honesty man this is insane, you fasting has no influence on the game. Not eating for this long can have some serious health risks, be safe dude.

I swear you guys forgot that I did it for 2 weeks. Fasting is actually a thing; please research as I am quite experience and understand how to approach it. Thank you for your concern bro!

Also, it's a commitment when you pray stating that you're going to do something if your god does something in return for something to happen.

Hence I commited to fasting between Poland and Senegal when we faced them and actually made it out of the group stage.

Yeah I remember and I'm sure you know what you're doing, just seems a tad extreme to me personally, but to each their own of course.
