Just wonder what will happen if Bradley DM and Adams RB isn't working in his system. We're told to calm down and the system will be fine. But it's a rather complex system he is trying to instill that goes against normal tactics these players will play most of the year. In short bursts/camps will you have time to really instill inverted RB and play out the back and all these sweeping changes? If not how does he handle it? Keep rolling out the system or try and find a system that matches up with his player pool? Does that mean we have to fire him today, probably not, but it would be good to hear he is not beholden to just his tactics that have his defenders looking like they have no idea how to defend simple plays.
Wow, Jay's salary was $780,000 in 2017, probably even more now. What exactly does he do to be making so much money?
You have to pay top execs big money because they have to work with other top execs who make big money and rich people basically only believe other rich people about anything.
Older Busthalter brother has been widely rumored to succeed current CEO Dan Flynn when old embezzler finally decides to retire. I am afraid it will take more than GC or WCQ failure to fire little Busthalter then.
As "Chief Commercial and Strategy Officer" Jay Berhalter is in command of all logistic operations out of Headquarters, Chicago House, as well as all planning that flows out of the brain trust in Sam's Army Soccer War College. Notable achievements range far and wide. These include the discovery that thin layers of dried grass plopped over a turf surface makes for a very entertaining match. It famously includes the beautiful and detailed year long analysis of Operation Couva that has inspired the development of the ingenious Eggskrieg Strategy [through which our USMNT is sweeping swiftly across all opposition on the Greater American Continent ]. Perhaps foremost, it includes the fortuitous rise of his brother, General Egg [known affectionately as "Gr Egg" to all high ranking members of the ruling Cordeiro Council ] , whose vision and brilliance gave shape to The System which sustains our cause........
my favorite was when a FUBU cartel apologist poster said that Jay Berhalter and Gregg Berhalter had a "loose relationship" .
I'm new here, is this thread about firing Gregg or Jay? In all seriousness, I know business is boring, but I'm kinda surprised there's little discussion in any of the USA boards about Jay's apparent anointment to CEO of USSF outside of this thread... especially within the context of Paul Kennedy's possible confirmation that the Glass Door reviews of former USSF employees "reflect the general feelings of most of the staff" The number of Glassdoor reviews pick up right after Memorial Day. They hit this web site last night but I was told they have been a topic of conversation around Soccer House for several weeks and "reflect the general feelings of most of the staff." An alarm bell.— Paul Kennedy (@pkedit) June 20, 2019 The real question is, if 3G fails to hit expectations and 1J is CEO, how long is 3G's leash?
HOW THE HELL WERE 15 CANDIDATES INTERVIEWED FOR CEO WHILE ONLY 2 WERE INTERVIEWED FOR THE USMNT MANAGER POSITION??? Getting word USSF is in final stages of hiring chief executive to replace Dan Flynn, who is retiring after 19 years. About 15 candidates were interviewed, list has narrowed considerably. In-house biz exec Jay Berhalter, brother of #USMNT coach Gregg, believed to be in running.— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) June 20, 2019
Nepotism is a plague in the USA, from the top down. It's bad in other countries, too, but in ours it's endemic. I've lived in seven countries in my life and in none it comes close. Just look the people the POTUS hires for key positions: relatives, in-laws, and their friends. And it's the same everywhere, from universities to research centers. Sometimes one wonders how anything gets done.
There was this quote about Jay Berhalter: "His approach to managing is laughable, and your only chance to succeed is if you love and/or fear him and let it be known that you're submissive to his "brilliant" ideas. " There is a kinship to General Egg, alright.
Boyd on the bench? a burned-out 90-year old Bradley still on the field? LOVITZ when we need a goal? Immediate Firing.
So MB90 staying on the field? tell me that was not scripted. the old- guard cartel backed Bruce Arena legacy philosophy fails us again. They will never allow natural progression unless they own it.
