It was wildly deflected and initially possibly off target even if it would have hit Lindahl. I probably would have still given the goal to Heath, but it's not some nonsensical reason like she used too much power.

My understanding of "own goal" is that the goal is directly shored by the team scored on or it is off a ball that otherwise would miss the goal. I do not think that goal comes under either of those criteria.

I'd use the third sub soon - Brian for Heath, maybe? More possession and game-killing?

U.S. getting sloppy. We've lost some of our cohesion. We're gonna get another yellow.
The Swedish subs have been impacting the game.

Lindahl might have saved a nondeflected shot, but I doubt that would have been required. Heath's initial shot did look like it was heading wide with no one there. Nevertheless, because the Swedish player didn't really extend her leg much to deflect the shot, I am a bit surprised by the decision.

Actually what we play is called a four back but the way it actually plays is a three back. Dunn is a better midfielder than Krieger.

I am not saying that is the correct way to play this group I am just saying that is the way we play.

Final US sub is Pugh for Rapinoe.
I'll have to review the LOTG. I was sure too much power was in there. I think you are wrong.

No doubt Dunn is better in mid but she has not inpressed on Defense. if you dont have "great keeper" you cannot afford to lose your damn man.

Lloyd was focused on the streak. Pugh didn't help with her run.

I thought you were being sarcastic. Have never heard of this "too much power" consideration. Does that go into determining if the shot was off target on its own? Regardless, fair enough.

OMG. Better teams are going to try to exploit dunn. She seems to struggle in her positioning and communication with central defenders.

It looks like there is a better than even chance that if we go all the way to the finals we will play nothing but European teams. There are non-European teams in out side of the bracket but I think the Europeans are superior.

Man, my initial gut feeling was to predict a 2-0 win for the USA, but then I changed it to 2-1 because I don't fully trust our defense.
