The only way Paul Pogba comes here is if three things happen:

    1. Pogba submits a transfer request.
    2. Pogba takes a pay cut.
    3. Man Utd find a way to "keep their project alive" with a superstar signing. They're not gonna buy into Gareth Bale though.

I'm telling people, we're playing with fire here.

If he fails, it'll be a monumental failure that'll make the Kaka bust look like a fieldtrip. He's too expensive, too volatile, too prone to quitting, and finally rocks the worst agent in World football. To round it all off, he plays for a team that's trying to hold onto their lifeline by a thread because they're somehow a less attractive destination to players than Atletico friggin Madrid.

They'd be lucky to have players like Griezmann or Bale even looks at them sideways. What Man Utd SHOULD do is take the money and get that Felix kid and call it a day.

James attitude problems are so overrated

His positioning is the bigger concern. Dude is out of position and decides to go to stacked teams with players that fit.

But he has mostly answered the call for every coach

I've said this in the past, he's tactically inept.

James was class his first season under Heynkes. Kovac was less successful going the no James route.

Bayern passed up the transfer headache because he didn't want to be there.

FYI : Paul Pogba and Ferland Mendy came through the same French academy, Le Havre FC. So did Lass Diarra and Riyad Mahrez.

Jupp himself cited that he had to spend hours daily to motivate James. Under Kovac, he was playing well but then got injured and under pressure, Kovac relied more on Thiago and Muller. When he came back, Kovac didn't seem to want to put the same kind of effort into the player as Jupp did. And James reciprocated in kind.

I think James had decided very early on in the season that he wasn't going to stay in Munich (A Zidane-less RM may have appealed to him then) and that showed in training and Kovac never bothered to bring him back into the fold in any meaningful way. The two games against Liverpool were probably his last big test but when tasked with mostly defensive work, he was never going to make an impact there anyway.

As soon as it was confirmed that Kovac would end up staying, the players that mounted the resistance against him had no chance.

I think the talks of him wanting to come back last summer to Madrid impacted him at Bayern. I’m sure we asked and he would’ve “agreed” but contractually it wasn’t possible. Knowing the ego of Bayern and their management that confirmed to them he’s not committed to them

Utd apparently desperate and willing to double Pogba's wages according to Daily Mail. Imagine doing that when Pogba hasn't even justified current wages there. Won't be the worst panic move of Woodward though given Alexis. Long may he continue as United CEO. [emoji23]

Llorente will be his replacement at Atletico. Atletico offering 40 ME while RM looking for 50 ME says AS.

Apparently we're desperate for money and selling players. But 40M is bullsh*t for Llorente..

Llorente has only one more year on his contract and wants to go. I don't see what leverage we have here. He turns down all other offers and signs for Atleti in December for free.

Llorente hasn't played over 1000 minutes in over two seasons now. Only people in Spain know of this "super talent", to a wide part of Europe he's a scrub Real Madrid bench warmer.

40 mil. is a good price for a player that hasn't really featured in our plans, ever.

Yea. Atletico would have offered 20 ME like for Hermoso otherwise.
