LY and HHC have half a brain and Robben's right foot between them.

we've made some stupid passes. SHM wasn't even looking one of our players passed to him from behind.

If HHC doesn't stop trying to needlessly nutmeg players, I'm going to tear his pizza face off his head.

Haha I love it, Lee Seung-Woo not putting up with the tough guy act. Korean players have historically been too meek for my liking.

The left side wasn't used enough in the 2. half. Iran just piled up to block the right side of Korea. Ah, well.

@wetcrispy at least we can say LSW is willing to lay his body (head) on the line. The kid is willing to do whatever it takes.

Over the top emotional last ten minutes with many injury prone tackles and sprints!

Second half really lacked quality. Even the goals were stupid defender mistakes. I think Iran and Korea should take some time off from playing each other there seems to be too much focus on keeping the record or changing the record so the friendly value is not there!

    1. Paik was best player on the pitch for me. Dude did everything well with great defending and calm passes in helping with buildup. I want to see Paik in mid a whole lot more compared to the other mids we have.

    2. What a whiff from CHW on that corner. He also looks really uncomfortable whenever it's on him to make a pass, especially under pressure.

    3. Bento's use of subs still baffles me. Why wouldn't he take Son and HIB off much sooner as it's obvious both are not fully fit and are visibly exhausted. It also wouldn't hurt to put subs in much sooner than the 70th minute.

    4. This was overall a much better performance across the board after that flat game earlier against Australia. And Iran showing yet again why they're so hard to beat

Zero build up whatsoever. Our spacing between our defense mid and forwards are just too big. Bento needs to change this.

We track back well on defense but they still get off shots. That means we just running back without a defensive plan. It’s gonna take a while to see real progress :(

Apparently, LSW's grandfather passed away based on the broadcast. Might explain why he seemed so out of control at times emotionally, more so than normal anyways. In that case, I'm glad Bento limited his minutes as it might better for LSW

HIB shows flashes of promise but he's just not good enough to hold that spot.

BSH looked great and will only look better with playing time at club and NT level. Great to see LSW get some time. Thought he looked great as a sub. Great movement on and off the ball. That shove was fantastic. Need a gif of that.

The NSH, HIB, LJS line needs to be reworked. It's just too lite. Not enough defensive bite there. Iran had a lot of shots from just outside the box as they lack any real disruption. Add in Paik, who wins a lot of balls but is no way an enforcer, and it's just too flimsy. The issue isn't with closing down the first man on ball quickly. It's having the tenacity and grit to stick with him and put a foot in once he plays a one two and shifts.

Unfortunately, the only real CDM we have at the moment is Jung Woo Young. And that's saying something.

I'm still a die hard advocate for HIB, he's the only one who has a semblance of how to distribute and create. There were several times today he played a ball into space and a winger didn't latch on well because they stopped their run prematurely. Our players need to learn how to play space and not players. I've also noticed he's willing to play short passes no matter where he is on the field, contrast to some players who have the ball in the opposition's third and don't know what else to do but try and dribble through or hold the ball (what the ******** for?) and inevitably lose the ball.

HIB is a good bench option but he needs to prove his worth over BSH. Also LKI is like a HIB with more class and better decision making abilities under pressure. He can also take hell of a free kick, literally leagues better than everyone in KNT.
