Newly promoted Union Berlin are interested in signing Philipp Förster from Sandhausen https://www.liga-zwei.de/sv-sandhausen-philipp-foerster-auf-dem-sprung-in-die-bundesliga/
ah a new thread for a new season!!!! Forster is one of those guys never touched by any German youth NT level now close to jumping to 1BL. speaking of new threads, should you make one for the youth thread? It's been open for 2 straight season, reckon we could use a fresh start "Vol. V".
Makes sense. You're free to start a new thread for youth discussion as well since as you provide a lot of coverage
I'll give the honors to you though, your the main thread starter in this forum. Outside of the German dual threads, I only started the CC and reboot thread. You also come up with better titles too. and hopefully fresh new thread attracts new members.
Borussia Dortmund’s Michael Zorc on Mario Gotze to Arsenal rumours, to Sport Bild: “We have heard rumours from England for years. At the beginning of the new season, we will sit down together. Mario Götze has not approached us with a request to move.” #AFC #BVB— Ronan Murphy (@swearimnotpaul) June 5, 2019
92 ex German youth International Patrick Bauer who plays in League One (English 3rd division) and helped them get Championship promotion is attracting the interest of these clubs. Rangers, Hibernian, Preston, Hull, Blackburn, Wigan, QPR and Millwall. https://the4thofficial.net/2019/06/...german-defensive-ace-gerrard-should-sign-him/
Christopher Schindler linked with Schalke https://www.ruhr24.de/s04/schalke-geruecht-christopher-schindler-ist-beim-s04-ein-kandidat-217572/
he really shouldn't play Championship, from all the Germans at Huddersfield he's the only one who's 1st division material.
Stark could leave Hertha, (he should). Eduard #Löwen is on the verge of signing a contract at #Hertha. Transfer fee is said to be around €7m. + The club still wants to keep Marko #Grujic on loan, who also wants to stay.Niklas #Stark could leave Hertha for €25m, according to kicker.— German Football Daily (@GERFootDaily) June 6, 2019 Reus on Brandt. shame what happened to Schurrle. According to what has been reported by LaLazioSiamoNoi, Schurrle’s agency have offered the German to a number of clubs, including Lazio. Besiktas and Fenerbahce are said to lead the “race” for Schürrle. https://t.co/NHCyeKeY2K— German Football Daily (@GERFootDaily) June 7, 2019 one of our most important players in WC14, now Turkish League? seems like Schurrle, Durm and Grosskreutz are the biggest losers in the past 5 years.
I think the above mentioned players while very important their respective clubs were workmanlike, and any hint of decline and they look ordinary
Durm was ruined by constant injuries, a player we'll never know his true potential He actually made the WC squad in his 1st pro season, which is very impressive. I like workmanlike players, not every player has to be a top talent or world class. It's interesting when lesser players prevail too. I mean in the youth thread since I joined good chunk of posters only cared about top talents/world class prospects. while I'm into discussing anyone. I mean NT wise, some countries do very good use with their workmanlike players better than us. They can take mediocre strikers and make them serviceable, which is always interesting to see.

lol Durm, was he going to be back up player? Erik #Durm will not join #S04 according to @Sky_Dirk. The 27-year-old left-back is a free agent. Schalke wanted to get him from Huddersfield, but the former Dortmund player has rejected the offer, although #Wagner has a good connection to him. #bvb #Schalke— German Football Daily (@GERFootDaily) June 9, 2019

Borussia Dortmund wants to get Mats #Hummels back. There have already been concrete talks with #Bayern, Kovac has been informed about the possible sale and has agreed. The transfer fee would be between 15-20m€. [BILD] #BVB (Thanks to @Ballzirkulation)— German Football Daily (@GERFootDaily) June 14, 2019
The reason for the switch is that #Hummels is said to miss the appreciation at #FCBayern. He wants to return to #BVB, the potential contract length at his former club is said to be 3 years. [kicker]— German Football Daily (@GERFootDaily) June 16, 2019
