I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the IQ on some of these kids is mind boggling. How dumb can you be?

I wonder if they practised this. With Dunce in charge I'm not sure.

Shameful to lose to a bunch of cheating mediocrities. Three out of this team are seleccion material. The rest are useless.

Great player selections from Dunce and the AFA. Can't have too many European based players can we. Lets try and inflate the transfer values of our domestic based players. Terrific plan.

So 1 decent game, 1 good game, 2 shit games and go home. The way we're playing in last 2 games, Batista is drunk.

I've come to expect nothing but disappointment from our NT at every level, we all know we will fail at the Copa.

Could they not get Beccacece to coach ? Does the AFA deem it unimportant not to give the team the best chance ?

And what is going on in youth coaching ? People laughed a while ago at England. English youth players are catching up. America, NZ the whole world. While we are going the opposite way it seems. It cannot be coincidence that we have been awful for nearly a decade at this level. No coincidence.

And some of the best kids are not in Argentine canteras. They are being developed in Spain, England and Italy. That also says a lot.

Well done for omitting Balerdi and Garay, leaving others out like Colidio and Garre, Barreal, Almada. Fantastic job from the AFA and all concerned. Dragging the name of Argentina into the mud again.

It will be same story, for the 100th time. Losing on shootout or conceided early goal and then getting thrashed. More predictable than Arsenal or Liverpool losing the EPL.

Unlike previous tournaments, this time Messi would be like.... "yeah whatever, now I can chill on the beach"

It seriously amazes me that we lose to a team like Mali. I get it, half of these players are damn near 30 but all they play on his physicality and speed.

We are a footballing nation where we used our brains and skills to win and not just win, win in style and passion. But now, giving up a last second goal on a school yard goal. Unacceptable. Bring in Aimar to manage these kids.

We needed to do better. We took a step forward in the qualifiers and we took 3 giant steps backwards during this tournament.

    Pathetic.

The way things are panning out might be the last chance to win something for a while. I've said it before for a long time but there needs to be a root and branch examination of youth football in Argentina and the development paths the kids are taking.

Combining the best Argentine traditions with the latest techniques to produce mentally robust, technically adept and creative players, clinical strikers and defenders who can read the game.

The number of times this lot were shrugged off the ball was a joke. Mali. That footballing superpower. Hope Italy thrash them.

Where was Pablito. Why can the AFA not stick to any plan. If you want to keep changing u20 coaches at least give the role to a proper coach like Beccacece. Let him scout the country pick his players, have sessions with them and build for a cycle. Not one cycle but two or three.

Not just shove in a new coach every time the u20 comes around. And a mediocrity of a coach too.

Perez, Sosa and Alvarez of those who played are seleccion material. Maybe Moreno in time. The rest well de la Vega can still develop. The others utterly awful. Gaich's trapping technique reminds of the donkeys England used to produce.

I have to talk about Roffo. I mean, seriously... this is the best we could find at the U20 level? Horrible on corners, constantly bobbles the ball, didn’t guess correctly ONCE on the penalties? Might as well just stand on the side and let them kick it. If he continues at this rate, in a couple years he’ll be lucky to be playing for Aucas in Ecuador.

Gaich is a lumbering #9, just uses his size. Needs a handful of chances to score 1 measly goal. Some players have that killer mentality who are just born killers in front of goal, he’s not one of them. I’m not sure if it’s something you can teach either. And yes, there are perhaps 2-3 players who will probably be regulars. It was supposed to be a talented generation but outside of the first game, I didn’t see any creativity, same mundane plays, inswingers left and right.

Barco has a lot of growing up to do. He’s nowhere near the finished product but he makes somebody like Di Maria look like Stephen Hawking.

Nothing pisses me off more than giving away a game like this. It was basically CA 04 all over again.

Nehuen Pérez is the only thing I take from this U20. World class CB in making.

The rest... only perros or average joes that will play in superliga or mexico/MLS all their careers.

I have more hope in the upcoming U17 though.

Age cheating happens quite frequently in African football. This is a fact.

That's simply a choking mentallity that played biggest role in this lost. Argentina has been known for that in last many years. They've lost 4 of last 5 Copa America in penalty shootout . They just couldnt win the game when it matter. They could won 3-0, 6-1 or 4-0 in semifinal but when it comes to the final, they just choked big time.

This u20 lost the Sudamericano title due to losing the last game to crap Brazillian side that finished bottom. They beat them earlier in tournament 3-0 but when it really matter, in due or die situation, they lost 0-1 and lost the title!

Sure , we could pointing at bad coaching and player selection, this is largely true aswell, but we see other teams that not exactly play a better football are still able to beat us when it matter. Losing to superior team that play better football is a different thing, but Argentina just keep losing when things get tough and it doesnt even matter what kind of team we play against. At this rate, soon we're going to make every minor footballing nation looks like world beater.

The u17 that recently won Sudamericano and if you notice... they came into the last game only need to secure 4 goals differences to win the title and they almost blew it even with 4 goals adventage! they lost 1-4! yea they still won but it clearly shows lack of nerve from Argentina players. I've actually predicted this result and I thought we're going to keep conceiding, lucky we didnt.

I don’t mind losing if we get outplayed but losing like this when we just let it slip away? Shouldn’t be like that.

Time to focus on the CA.

It used to happen a lot, think the fact some of the so called under 20 African players had grey beards gave the game away, but i believe since introduction of bone scanning to determine age it doesn't happen now, probably explains why African tems have been so unsuccessful at youth team level since that was introduced.

Since no Brazil and England in this tournament, I'm quite ok with any other team winning it except maybe not Mali since they're unbelievably poor side (we still somehow made them looks good).
