I need a big Servette win on Friday! Not that I hold any ill will towards LS but I need Aarau to finish ahead of LS and this is the only remaining match I see LS losing.

Servette win promotion with a 3-1 win over LS with over 20k at the Stade de Geneve. Aarau could move into 2nd place with a win today.

and Aarau has! To think where they were in the 1st half and how they have risen makes me proud. Even if they don't go anywhere from here what a turnaround!

    LS - Schaffhausen

    16 May
    Wil - Vaduz
    Winterthur - Chiasso
    Servette - RJ

Aarau and LS both at home, and both should win. The question is can LS recover to overtake Aarau?

    Remaining matches:
Aarau - vs Kriens, @ Chiasso, vs RJ
LS - vs Schaffhausen, @ Kriens, vs Vaduz

I would say LS has the harder road.

    15 May
Aarau - Kriens 1-1 2 goals taken back for offside for Aarau.
LS - Schaffhausen 0-0 Very poor match for LS

    16 May
    Wil - Vaduz 1-1
    Winterthur - Chiasso 0-0
Servette - RJ 5-3, Servette was up 5-1 at one point.

    Servette 73
    Aarau 58
    LS 57
    Winterthur 50
    Wil 42
    Vaduz 42
    Kriens 36 -7GD
    Schaffhausen 36 -20GD
    RJ 35 -8 GD
    Chiasso 33 -24 GD

Vaduz has moved out of danger. Still 4 teams within 3 points.

    Chiasso - Aarau
    RJ - Winterthur
    Schaffhausen - Wil
    Vaduz - Servette
    Kriens - LS

So Servette should win, Aarau should win as well. LS is favored, but with their current form who knows. An Aarau win, with a LS loss earns Aarau the 2nd place spot. Chiasso could still avoid relegation.

Who would be the top 2 candidates for promotion/play-off?

I think GCZ goes up easily. I think Lausanne is early favorite for the barrage. I don't really see any other challengers outside of these two, but it's such an open league, so we'll see what happens. I see either Lausanne-Ouchy or Kriens going down. It was actually kind of sad to see Rapperswil-Jona go down. They never played like a team who was just fighting relegation, and they always went out and tried to play attacking football. Maybe they'll be back in 2020...

Still think that there is a pro-Ticino conspiracy to keep a team in the BCL :). Chiasso was terrible, yet once again, they manage to stay up.

The year that Chiasso will go down will be the same year Bellinzona come back up.

    Book it.

I agree! No complaints though as I like Chiasso and always wish them the best.

So GCZ is in terrible shape. I think they are going to take a few years to get back up. Two members of their senior administrative team have quit. They have announced that their payroll is going to be slashed a ton. While FCZ kept their payroll high, GCZ will cut it drastically. I expect to see a very different team on the field in August. Much younger, and many new faces.
