14 shots by FCD, 1 on goal. Thanks, Seattle! Pretty good game by everyone in an FCD uniform, except for craptacular finishing.
For the second week in a row, Dallas created more chances, had more shots, yet scored fewer goals. Fortunately, this time it earned them three points. Barrios was the only one unsettling the defense, yet he did it with end line runs rather than penetrating passes. Other than that, FCD was reduced to mostly-terrible shots from distance. Roberts looks promising. Nelson was solid. Ferreira didn’t have his best match. But lots to like in the youngsters. What I didn’t like is how deep the team defended in the second half. Resulted in one Seattle goal and could have easily led to a second. And the time-wasting antics are embarrassing as well. Just stay positive and see the game out!
Drove all the way up to Frisco just in time to get into the stadium for the downpour. Didn't have hours to blow on a rain delay, so I basically drove to Frisco to buy a poncho (for 8 f'n dollars) just to get back to my car and leave. Glad we finally got a win, however it happened. Not going to bust too many balls about style at this point with the injuries/call ups.
Disposable $1 Wal-Mart ponchos are the best. You can fit a whole family's worth of them in the glove box or in the little storage pocket of the minivan, and you never have to remember to bring them because they live in the car. You DO have to remember to replace them after the rain ends. Poncho scalpers are the kind of scum where you're like, "Man, I wish I'd thought to bring 500 red ponchos to this FC Dallas game and sell at 700% profit."
