He's also left JSP and is now part of SEG.
(Depay, Strootman, De Vrij among other clients)
Wouldn't expect him in Groningen next season.

Scored today at last, after a very poor form in 2019 for both Japan NT and Groningen.

His first goal in 2019 for Groningen, and 5th of the season, after scoring 4 goals in the first half of the season (all in 2018).

    What a fcking goal

  7. It was a special one as it was also the 1000th goal scored in this Eredivisie season!

  8. If you want a thousandth goal to be scored you couldnot ask for a better one I guess.

  9. His team mate Ludovit Reis was scouted during the last few months by Barcelona and he signed a contract with them. (nobody saw that one coming)

Ludovit Reis has a buy out clause in his cotract of 100 million:confused:

This week Ritsu felt at home as Groningen (again) suffered an earthquake of almost 4.

Barca B* went for 3 mill.

  11. So?
Barca immediately put a 100 million buy out clause in his contract. That tells you what they think of him.
Edit: If they had other thoughts of his upcoming value, like 15 million after a year in their camp, it wouldnot be foolish to put his buy out clause at 30 million. Nobody is going to pay that if the player is worth 15. So there's a reason why they decided to put the bar to get him that high and not something closer to that 3 million you refer to, which in fact is the price without additional bonuses for FC Groningen.

Doan actually regressed a lot this year. There's too much disturbance outside the pitch. He needs to get his priority straight.

Clubs put incredibly high buyout clauses on a lot of youth players in case they become breakout stars.

  17. They've got better things to do than signing up young players in the hope to have a gem. They're not Manchester City or Chelsea that have whole armies of loan players they never intend to take serious.
However I like to see you come up with a list of clubs with young talents that havenot proven yet to be stars with 100 million buy out clauses. I'm curious.
Barcelona could have bought Doan for that same 7-8 million, who has proven more than Reis to begin with.

I don't follow him that closely but that is my impression too.
Judging from recent highlights he is becoming slimmer/fitter. Let's hope it's a good sight he's returning on track.

In theory, he has all the tools. Dribbling, shooting, passing, stamina... are all at least above average. But his performance last year was not up to it. For me he still lacks a little pace, and especially some sharpness in decision making. If he can be quicker in both speed and decision making, he may become the next jnt star.

  20. I personally would love to see him move to Feyenoord, but we at the moment lack the money to buy him, unfortunately.

I'm watching a lot of transfer news but his name doesn't come on at all. He does lack pace but that's not the most important thing for an AM. He's not a winger.

I think he's the most talented player from Japan.

No EPL, please. Japanese players don't fit in that league. Try the next step with Ajax or PSV, if possible.

Id Say Takefusa Kubo would have something to say about that

Even Nakajima miles better than him as a JNT main-man.
It is true, he's got the tools needed dribbling, passing, creativity, etc, but it's just too rough and crucially he's still lacking the ability to read the game. Nakajima is Japan's best at this, attacking wise. I even rate Kubo better than Doan too in this aspect.

This is OOT, but, i think, Kubo will be a big hit if he comes to Europe with his condition now. The way he reads the game, De Bruyne-esque passing technique, and his decision making in the zone 14 is joy to watch. Unfortunately his teammate doesn't play to the same wavelength.
